With Shedeur Sanders out, can Colorado's new star lead the team to unexpected glory this season?

“Undefeated National Championship run.” Looks like the dream’s finally gonna come true. Buffs are all set for the 2024 season. The team has seen a drastic change in its overall defenses as Deion Sanders has brought in 6 new offensive linemen to secure the frontline. Travis Hunter has also shown massive improvement with a better physique and increased strength in the field. Even during an interview with Brain Howell, Shilo Sanders has shown his confidence. The boys are more hungry this season because this could be their big ticket to the NFL and from the fall camp footage, we see Justin Meyers echo the same message.

On July 28th, a clip posted to X by GUCCE shows Meyers and Deion Sanders giving the boys some necessary pep talk. “So being disciplined, being smart, getting ready to do it fast. All these things make a winning program,” 4-star OL Meyers was seen telling the crowd. This season has seen some drastic improvements in the overall skills of the players as well. Uncle Neely covered it best back on The Pregame Show. Neely mentioned how boys are faster and more accurate. Even Matt McChesney, CU alum, agreed regarding the new team comp. “I’m looking up with all these motherf**kers so they are big as shit,” Matt had mentioned back on The Coach JB and Big Smitty show.

Shedeur Sanders was absent from the meeting. It was probably because he had practice or something. However, Coach Prime had his charm on when he went up to motivate the boys. “We don’t have the next day. We have now,” Deion said. Whatever they gotta do, they gotta do it now. There will be no second chances this season because there are other important factors involved as well.

The end of this season will mark the end of an era. Shilo, Shedeur, and Travis would be leaving for the NFL after the games are over. Now you know why Deion Sanders ain’t taking any risks this year. While the mock draft projections for the boys are all over the place, we can say that there’s a high chance of Shedeur and Travis ending up in the Raiders, but don’t be surprised if the Patriots or Giants decide to pick them off.

Have an interesting take?

For Shilo, nothing is sure yet. However, he would make an outstanding addition to the Seahawks. That kid is yet to have the same hype as the one we see around Shedeur or Travis, but his stats on safety make him a solid addition to a team with a good defensive comp. Only time will tell how the Buffs manage to pull through this season.
