The NIL landscape has become a game-changer in college football, allowing players to earn from their name, image, and likeness. One of the most lucrative NIL deals recently signed is the partnership with Texas QB Quinn Ewers and Nicholas Air, a private jet company. He joins Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart in this endeavor with the aviation company headquartered in Oxford, Mississippi. The company was founded in 1997.
After the deal, Quinn Ewers revealed his excitement about the partnership on social media, stating, “I’m fired up for my new partnership with Nicholas Air. It is a first-class organization and a perfect match for my travel needs… Proud to represent their brand.” Not long after this deal, Colorado Buffs OT Jordan Seaton delivers his take on ideal NIL deals.

Unlike some players who would prefer some quick cash with signing deals, Jordan Seaton thinks otherwise. In a recent Well Off Media vlog, the 5-star recruit shared his opinion on NIL deals saying, “I’m still a freshman right now but as far as signing deals, it’s got to be reasonable. We’re not looking for quick cash so just make it worth the time.” For a freshman just joining college, Seaton’s insight for long-term investment is commendable.

This revelation from Seaton, who reportedly has an On3 NIL Valuation of $312K, came amidst the major NIL signed by Quinn Ewers. It’s not surprising how the Longhorns QB managed to ink this lucrative deal after his successful 2023 season with improved arm accuracy and confidence. The Longhorns defeated OSU to clinch the Big 12 title and even secured their first College Football Playoff appearance. Per the speculation of some outlets, the Longhorns are viewed as the top contender for the National Championship title in 2024. However, regarding money deals, Seaton isn’t swayed by the lure of wealth.

It was before Jordan Seaton committed to Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. As an elite 5-star recruit off IMG Academy, he received offers from over 30 schools where he listed his top five landing places – Colorado, Tennessee, Ohio State, Georgia, and Oregon. Tennessee reportedly offered Seaton a “seven-figure” price tag to join them but his choice came as a surprise to many people.
Jordan Seaton turned down the offer that crushed Tennessee’s hopes. According to what Knoxville’s NBC affiliate reported, “Tennessee and its NIL collective were feeling good about their chances of landing the final uncommitted five-star recruit in the 2024 class in the days leading up to his decision, and Seaton’s ultimate choice of Colorado came as a surprise.” Like Seaton said, he’s more about things that make it worth his time and he chose Coach Prime’s program in the hopes that it’s a better investment.
