Pilar’s dedication to her children was quite evident in her support of Shelomi’s move to the Alabama basketball team. This even caused a disagreement between Pilar and Deion. Despite this, Pilar’s children remain close to her and publicly thanked her on Mother’s Day. 

Pilar acknowledges Shedeur Sanders’ Mother’s Day tribute

While Shedeur Sanders maybe his dad’s favorite quarterback, he also shares a deep bond with his mother, Pilar Sanders. Despite spending more time on the field with his father, Deion, Shedeur didn’t hesitate to express his love for his mom on Mother’s Day. He reposted an old photo of himself and Pilar on his Instagram story, wishing her a “Happy Mother’s Day.” 

Even though Pilar has voiced concerns about Deion’s influence in Shelomi’s life, she set aside those differences to acknowledge and appreciate Shedeur’s heartfelt message. She reposted his story with a simple “Thank You,” demonstrating her love and appreciation. She also followed it up with Shelomi’s Mother’s Day wishes in a subsequent Instagram story. Thus, despite the challenges she faces with her ex-husband, Pilar’s love for her kids is indisputable.

Pilar Sanders has been a part of Buffs’ headlines lately due to her displeasure with Deion Sanders. Pilar accuses the head coach of neglecting Shelomi’s basketball career in much-needed times. It looks like Shelomi’s recent transfer to Alabama A&M has upset Deion, shattering his dream of having all his children together at Colorado. However, throughout this transition, Shelomi’s mother, Pilar Sanders, has been a pillar of support. 

Pilar publicly affirmed her unwavering support for her daughter, saying, “I’m proud of you and I’m happy for you, and I will always be here supporting you. Because I’m a real mama who’s present.” These words were seen as a direct response to Deion who reacted to his daughter’s decision as “stupid.” Pilar has also been a constant source of strength for Shelomi, who suffers from Type 1 Diabetes. As a daunting mother, she has devoted herself to her daughter’s well-being by standing with her in needy times. It seems like Pilar is always ready to show her love at every possible period.
