The day for recognizing Nick Saban’s accomplishments for Alabama isn’t too far away. The 72-year-old announced his retirement from Pro-Football after over 28 years in the sport. After Alabama’s disheartening season last year, he decided to hang up his cape, and the world of college football was changed forever.

Nick Saban was the pride and honor of the Alabama Crimson Tide. He signed on with the team in 2007 and gave it his all till the year 2023. In his 16 years with Alabama, he took the team to new heights that the NCAA hadn’t seen before. Under his leadership, the team won the national championships in the years of 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017, and 2020. A force to be reckoned with- that was Nick Saban and now it’s time for the sport to pay their respects to him in full. As such, Greg Byrne, the athletic director of Alabama, released a mysterious statement about celebrating Saban’s glory for the men in Crimson.

The Alabama Crimson Tide plans to honor the legendary Nick Saban in full and has already begun making the apt preparations for it. Though no official confirmations have been made as such, but the team has assured the fans that a proper sendoff will be given to Saban soon. Nick Saban has been Alabama’s pride and glory for more than a decade and, as such, he will be given his fair share of the flowers.

Regarding the potential event, Greg Byrne, the athletic director at the University of Alabama, shared an update that has excited the fans. He was heard saying, “There are some things we have up our sleeve, so to speak, that we’re working on for that. When the timing is appropriate, we’ll be able to talk a little bit more about that.” Thus, the Alabama fans will have to wait and see the glorious tribute the team will demonstrate for the world very soon. But while Saban has moved on from being a coach, the fans will get to see a different side to him as he will be joining ESPN as a college football analyst soon.

Nick Saban has announced that he will be joining ESPN as a college football analyst

While his exit has left a void in all of the fans’ hearts, Saban will return to the sport as an analyst soon. The legendary Alabama coach will be making appearances on the famous show, ‘College GameDay.’ ESPN assured the fans that he wouldn’t be replacing anyone and would be a valuable addition to the already beloved show. In response to this great news, ESPN released a statement for Saban.

The network said, “He will join a team that includes host Rece Davis, analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee, as well as college football insider Pete Thamel, reporters Jen Lada and Jess Sims, and college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin.”

In response to the next big step in Saban’s career, he seems excited to be a spectator of the sport rather than be involved directly. He appreciated the opportunity that ESPN presented to him and said, “ESPN and College GameDay have played such an important role in the growth of college football, and I’m honored to have the opportunity to join their team. I’ll do my best to offer additional insights and perspectives to contribute to College GameDay, the ultimate Saturday tradition for college football fans.” Thus, while the fans get to see Kalen DeBoer on the sidelines rather than Saban, they will find some comfort in the fact that the veteran Alabama coach won’t be too far away.
