Deion Sanders, the head coach known for his dramatic flair and success, isn’t afraid to go above and beyond. From recruiting a massive number of 40 players to selling out every game, he seems to achieve anything he sets his mind to.

In fact, the University of Colorado views its $45 million worth head coach as a valuable asset. His can-do attitude has brought many benefits to the university and Coach Sanders remains determined to continue the same. Recently, in a casual chat with Buffs linebackers coach Andre’ Hart, he even revealed his incredible effort to pull off a massive feat without any money.

In a June 4th Well Off Media video, Deion Sanders and coach Andre Hart reminisce about the coach’s accomplishments. Deion started off casually, mentioning setting up “the field, setting up the session stand.” He then dived into the number of practice fields built, playfully attempting to recall the exact figure: “How many fields did we… one, two, three… I think it’s six. I think we built six fields.”

Hart, a long-time colleague from Deion’s days at Jackson State, helped him out: “One at Trinity, one at Triple A, and training.” Deion adds, “in the hood, and all in the city.” And then comes the big reveal. Deion pulls out his empty pocket and declares with a laugh, “You know where they came from, right? Here [empty pocket]. Ain’t no more that’s what we built six fields out of this!”

The duo laughed about their accomplishment with zero funds, and Deion added, “That’s why we get disturbed when the hood questions us.” It’s true that Deion Sanders has accomplished a great deal during his coaching tenure, particularly for the Buffaloes, which makes the negativity surrounding him questionable.

Deion Sanders’ innovative impact on the Buffaloes

Deion Sanders‘ first season with the Colorado Buffaloes wasn’t a winning one on the field, with a record of 4-8. However, his impact went far beyond the scoreboard. He went on to build a strong brand around the team. He secured an OTT series, “Coach Prime,” following the Buffaloes, shifting the spotlight from losses to a behind-the-scenes look at the program. Deion also revamped the team’s training environment, creating a state-of-the-art enclosed practice facility and a stylish black and gold locker room.

However, his focus on innovation didn’t stop there. He recently introduced a “new device” so that players can “talk to each other and get to know one another.” It’s a sleek black lockable container for their phones during lunch breaks. These high-tech lockers even feature a hydraulic opener and the Buffs logo for a touch of class.

It looks like, whether with or without a hefty budget, Deion Sanders is a master of creating fresh energy and excitement wherever he goes.
