Deion Sanders likes his family to stay on the same side. But remember how annoyed he got when his daughter, Shelomi, decided to leave Colorado and hit the transfer portal? He called it a stupid move. Well, is Coach Prime’s elder son pulling a similar stunt?
Not really. He won’t be shifting his loyalty to any other football team. However, when it comes to the gaming world, anything is possible! The EA Sports College Football 25 video game made an epic comeback after an 11-year break. It aims to bring back the older days but with modern updates. And that’s what Deion Sanders Jr. seems to love. He took to X on July 16 and wrote, “I might have to start playing with a new team… I ain’t gone lie to you.”
Interestingly, many people initially thought that Shedeur Sanders was snubbed because leaked posters did not feature him, whereas Hunter Travis was visible. However, the video game’s roster mentions both the CU players.

Now, while Deion Sanders Jr. stated that he won’t mind flipping for a video game, it looks like Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders will remain loyal to Colorado even in the video game. Just days ago, social media users saw both the athletes stream while playing the game. It turns out Shedeur is better than Hunter!
He laid a beatdown on Hunter by 40. It was so bad that at one point, Hunter even tried to throw the offensive line under the bus!

It turns out the stream was a part of EA Sports’ ongoing rollout for College Football 25. The game will be released worldwide on July 19.

But things don’t stop here! On July 20, fans can visit Town Center, Westminster, from 1 pm to 5 pm for a launch party Hunter is hosting with “Roch Em” merchandise. Here, the fans can snag some Buffs gear and get Hunter’s autograph. The two-way star will also be throwing down a sweet challenge: “Be there,” he said, “I’m also giving away a PS5 & 5 copies of the new @easportscollege game!”
The question remains: Should the fans play EA Sports College Football 25 as the Buffs?
Here are two reasons why you should play as the Buffs!
- Travis Hunter: The cornerback/wide receiver is prominently featured in the game. He even made it to the game’s cover. His inclusion attracted a lot of attention.
- Shedeur Sanders: His signature celebration has been programmed into the game. His ‘watch flex’ was added to the list of TD celebrations. What’s so cool about this? Colorado Buffaloes seem to be the only team with a custom celebration in the game! This will surely rile up other teams.

No doubt CBS Sports tweeted, “Any interest in playing with two of the top-rated players in “College Football 25?” Cover star Travis Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders will put up video game numbers… literally.”
Players like Sanders and Hunter are among the privileged few who could play the game way before its release to get an early taste of the highly awaited video game installment. To play the game three days earlier than the rest of the world, fans will either have to preorder the deluxe edition of EA Sports College Football 25, have EA Play early access, or purchase the MVP bundle with Madden 25.
Per reviews from early players, EA Sports outdid themselves with their legendary comeback. According to USA TODAY Sports’ review, “The presentation of the game will blow every gamer away. The details of every team and stadium is precise, capturing the unique traditions and pageantry of every FBS school.”

The Buffs even have a scene where Ralphie the Buffalo makes the run tradition at Folsom Field. However, some fans who got early access to the game noticed glitches. Several users pointed out that when they tried to play the ‘Dynasty Mode’, they were met with an error that provided two Dynasty Type options, both of which read “Lorem Ipsum” and an image of a cloud slashed through. “Lorem Ipsum” is a placeholder text that was never replaced.
