It’s been just two months since the 2024 NFL Draft. Yet, analysts and fans alike have started anticipating what’s going to happen in the next draft.  Following analyst Chris Trapasso, it is Alabama alum Greg McElroy who stoked the excitement by dropping his latest X post. McElroy is here with his list of Top 10 CFB QBs, which is a warning to the Buffs nation at large.

While Deion Sanders and his tribe rooted for their quarterback, Shedeur, to secure the top position, McElroy’s list was a shock. Shedeur failed to take the top, and the analyst refused to give the Colorado QB even second place. Fans are less than thrilled now that he is in the third position after Carson Beck and Quinn “Mullet Mahomes’ Ewers. 

McElroy’s list stirs debate with Shedeur holding the third position

According to McElroy’s list, Shedeur is expected to have an opportunity after Beck and Ewers. Sources indicate that the quarterback from Georgia has seen his odds of being the first pick in 2025 move from +500 to +300. On the other hand, things are looking less optimistic for Buffs fans as Shedeur’s odds have dropped from +100 at the beginning to +450.

Shedeur’s talents, however, are not to blame for the drop. Rather, it was reportedly an effect of Deion Sanders’ son taking to social media and calling out the Buffs transfer, Xavier Smith, “very mid.” While Beck, per ESPN’s Matt Miller, is “the hot name among NFL scouts,” it is Texas’ Ewers who has left scouts to question Shedeur’s talents by landing the second position. Ewers led Texas to a Big 12 Championship and its first-ever College Football Playoff appearance last season. No matter how much talent Beck and Ewers have shown, however, the Colorado fans only want to see Shedeur at the top. 

Fans take a stand for Shedeur’s superiority

The fans are unwilling to accept that Beck and Ewers will land before their QB sensation. A fan lives by the firm belief that Shedeur will turn the narrative in his favor, which will land the haters in trouble, “Shedeur is gonna have the haters in tears this season.” “Bro what is Carson becks agent paying these people,“ a curious fan believes the predictions are dishonest since Georgia is bribing the analyst.

“Quinn Evers was so deeply average in almost every major category last year and yet he’s number 2?  On3 remains to be a joke propped up only by private money,” On3’s analysis comes off as a joke due to Ewers’ poor performance last season. A fan demanded to fire the analyst for such a move, “Whoever made this list needs to be fired…”

“Shedeur has 3 wins, this list is insanity,“ another fan drew reference to Shedeur’s win to question the authenticity of the list. A Buffs admirer sees prospects in Shedeur, Jaxson Dart, and Jayden Daniels while Deion Sanders’ son emerges to be the best, “Dart, Daniels, Shedeur, & cam ward are all better QBs than ewers along with Shedeur being the clear cut best in college”. 

Even though the fans still have to wait a year to determine whether this prediction matches the final list,  Shedeur Sanders is working his best to turn over the narrative of being the most sacked player. Meanwhile, Deion Sanders has revamped his O-Line to not let any sack move past the quarterback.
