Most of us learn the hard way, and NFL legend Tom Brady is no exception. His appearance as the featured subject on Netflix’s Greatest Roast of All Time may have garnered laughter from many when his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, and her new partner, Joaquim Valente, were dragged into the conversation, using them to roast Brady. However, this came at the price of Brady’s conscience. 

Following the event, Tom Brady had to make amends and expressed his regret for the inconvenience it had caused his near and dear ones. He told The Pivot Podcast, “I liked it when the jokes were about me… I didn’t like the way they affected my kids.” He also reached out to his ex-wife and apologized for the jokes. And now, it looks like the mother-daughter duo of Gisele and Vivian has gotten past the events of that night.

After the famous (or infamous) Netflix roast, Gisele Bündchen was reportedly seen outside enjoying a peaceful stroll with her daughter Vivian Brady and their dog, as reported by Hola.com. The photo captured a serene moment between the mother and daughter – sporting athleisure wear – as they played ball, with their dog trotting between them. Their striking resemblance was undeniable, and they seemed as comfortable as ever. That said, we can’t help but love how Vivian Brady is growing into a graceful woman right in front of our eyes. 

Not only is Vivian Brady just like her mother, but she also enjoys her father’s adventurous spirit, as often showcased in Tom Brady’s posts on social media. She’s often seen playing ball with Brady, going on skiing adventures to snow hikes, and spending quality time with her father. However, from what Brady revealed during The Pivot podcast, it became clear that his daughter and ex-wife weren’t the biggest fans of what went down. In fact, Bündchen even told someone close to her that she was quite disappointed. And why wouldn’t she have been?

After host Kevin Hart made some vulgar comments about Gisele Bündchen and her partner, Joaquim Valente – who’s a jiu-jitsu instructor – comedian Nikki Glaser remarked how the “only thing dumber” than Brady agreeing to the roast was telling Gisele to join jiu-jitsu classes. She also took a dig at their divorce, saying, “You have seven rings. Well, eight, now that Gisele gave hers back.” These were just a few of the many jabs the guests took at not just Bündchen but indirectly at Brady’s family. Considering this, a source close to the supermodel opened up about Bündchen’s feelings about the roast.

Talking to PEOPLE, the source revealed, “[Bündchen] is deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show. As always, her priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.” Well, it looks like she’s been doing just that based on her recent outing with Vivian. As for Tom Brady, it’s up to him to cherish the treasures he has in his three kids – Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian – and be more vigilant as a parent going forward. 

Tom Brady promises to be a better parent

It took the seven-time Super Bowl champion some time to realize how the roasts might have affected his kids. He didn’t consider that his public and personal life would be dug into to this extent that he would have to apologize to Gisele Bündchen for making her feel “disappointed” and “offended.” Nor did he consider the impact his and Bündchen’s roast would have on the kids’ confidence, given the huge number of views it would garner. Add to that the fact that it was live-streamed.

Tom Brady, however, admitted that he learned from his mistake. He said, “It’s the hardest part about… like the bittersweet aspect of when you do something that you think is one way and then, all of a sudden, you realize, ‘I wouldn’t do that again because of the way that it affected actually the people that I care about the most in the world.’” Brady further promised that he’s going to be a “better parent” to his kids in the future.
