Lane Kiffin's boldness: Is he the coach college football needs right now?

Paul Finebaum’s lately been stretched thin, keeping a record of everyone he’s having bad blood with—Deion Sanders, Lane Kiffin, and the whole CFB world. Earlier, he used to get a free pass on passing critical comments on programs. Not anymore. First, Deion Sanders put him back in his place, followed by a storm of Buffs’ supporters bashing him brutally.

Then came Lane Kiffin’s “I don’t know what you’re good at” revenge after 10 years. Kiffin’s menacing words were the only soothing balm that the Deion Sanders fans needed to hear after Finebaum’s insulting words for Deion Sanders. But that’s not the only reason Deion Sanders Jr. named him his No. 2 favorite head coach. Yes, he is becoming the next ‘marketing mastermind’ in the CFB, which seems to have caught the eye of the ‘social media guy’ at one of the bestselling programs in CFB, but that’s not all.

Deion Sanders Jr. was sold on Kiffin’s humor during his interview with Paul Finebaum. Kiffin’s interview with Paul Finebaum from the SEC media days was something that each CFB fan enjoyed thoroughly. However, there was one particular exchange from Kiffin that fans, including Deion Sanders Jr., loved the most. Bucky wrote something burning for Kiffin on his Instagram: “Coach Lane Kiffin is my next favorite coach after my dad.” Find out how.

How Lane Kiffin took his revenge on Finebaum

It all dates back to 2013, when he was fired five games into the season as the USC head coach. Bringing up what Finebaum had said about Kiffin then, the Ole Miss head coach said, “You said what a joke I was, I’m the Miley Cyrus of college football coaching and I should be fired. They looked at each other and later that night, I was fired.”

Finebaum tried his best to divert the conversation, even mentioning that Miley Cyrus has made a resurgence in her career, but none of it could stop Kiffin’s wrecking ball from coming at him. “So you were wrong on that. I mean, you put me down with that,” Kiffin asserted.

Have an interesting take?

“Really, I don’t know what you’re good at. You predicted Coach Saban was done. That didn’t happen. You basically said Miley Cyrus stinks, and she’s still going,” Kiffin said, presenting a burning response to Finebaum, taking revenge for himself and Miley Cyrus. Now, that is what you call revenge. Deion Sanders and Buffs fans paved the way, and Kiffin is now walking proudly on it, proving that the ‘SEC biased’ analyst is wrong.
