Texas A&M University is going through a shift in its coaching roles. The team fired their HC Jimbo Fisher earlier last week. Since the sacking, the university has been on its toes to hunt a suitable candidate for the vacant position. After Deion Sanders expressed his loyalty to the CU Buffs, the team asked for another potential coach.

This comes in just a couple of days after Oregon’s HC Dan Lanning denied going forth with the coaching position. A&M University proceeded with roping in a former university alumnus and asked him for the services. Now as the alumnus declined the offer, troubles are plenty for the college team.

There were strong speculations that NFL Detriot Lions HC Dan Campbell might go ahead with A&M University’s offer. After talks with the backchannel connections that the university was looking for Campbell, the NFL coach has shut down any reports. Campbell has a strong connection with the side as he represented the team for four years.

Ages ago, when Campbell was himself a college player he served his time for four years between 1995-1998. He played a double role of tight end and flanker during his 48-game tenure with the team. Crediting his loyalty, the Texas side reached out, hoping that the Lions HC would take the offer. But it was not meant to be, and the hunt for a head coach continues for the Texans. The now-sacked HC Jimbo Fisher was himself a pioneer when it came to coaching.
