Things do not seem to be all good for Deion Sanders’ daughter, Shelomi Sanders as her stint in the Colorado Buffaloes has come to an end. The former Jackson State guard has hit the transfer portal after one season with the Buffs. Previously, she committed herself to Jackson State when Deion Sanders was still there coaching the football program. But in this season, Coach Prime’s daughter has decided to make an impact elsewhere.

Shelomi’s journey in college basketball has been guided by her father. She followed Deion Sanders’ track as when Coach Prime committed to Jackson State, Shelomi tagged along. However, back in JSU, she only engaged in two games before following her father to Colorado. Since Deion Sanders’ youngest daughter has made her move out of Jackson State and entered the Buffs basketball squad, she has only played 11 minutes in five games this season.
Going by the records, Shelomi averaged 16 points per game. Previously, she acquired her place as the first team All-District for District 10 6A in Texas and made much noise as a senior at Rockwall-Health High School in 2022. Even though last year, she finished as a redshirt with the Buffs, the good times did not last for long.
In preseason practices this year, Shelomi broke her thumb and this injury sidelined her during the first six games. Later on, she scored a season-low two points on 1-of-4 shooting and the Buffs limited her to a season-low 17 minutes. Now, Shelomi’s path ahead has multiple options that she can explore.

Among the probable landing spots for Shelomi, Texas Tech tops the list. This program will present Deion Sanders’ daughter with the opportunity to return to her home state. Joining this program, she get a chance to interact with Jasmine Shavers who may help her out in improving her shooting skills. Other than this, Colorado State Rams, even though she has been once rivals to them, seem to be a good prospect for Shelomi. Going by the prediction, the Rams are about to lose five of their guards that will clear the road for her entry.
Additionally, the Denver Pioneers having a ton of young depth will allow Shelomi to bring out her best potential. Being only 40 minutes away from Boulder, it will be easier for Deion Sanders’ daughter to manage her school and stay close to her family. On the other hand, Texas A&M has proved that smaller guards can have success which may be alluring for Shelomi.
