The Giants have opened their 2024 training camp on Wednesday in East Rutherford, NJ but as far as the offense goes, there seems to be a lot of holes that need to be addressed.

The Giants currently sit 3rd in the NFC East after securing only six wins out of 17 games played in the regular season in 2023. With a string of injuries, they had three starting QBs last season which include Tyrod Taylor, Tommy DeVito, and Daniel Jones, who is set to become this season’s starting playmaker. But even before he has a chance to prove himself this season, speculations are already pointing to Carson Beck becoming the new face of the Giants come next season.

As reports about their performance came out, hope seemed elusive for the Giants fans as their QB “Daniel Jones went 0-for-3 in second set of team drills.” Meanwhile, veteran backup QB “Drew Lock throws an interception on his first pass with the second team.” Following the dismal executions from the QBs, NFL Draft analyst Jacob Infante made an interesting post on X on July 25 where he wrote, “Immediately Googling ‘Carson Beck Giants jersey swap.’”

Could there be a good chance that the Georgia Bulldogs’ weapon Carson Beck will become the first overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft? In Athlon Sports’ way-too-early 2025 Mock Draft on July 7, the 22-year-old is the favorite to replace Jones who even after getting an elite receiver in Malik Nabers seems to be having a hard time. According to ESPN’s Matt Miller, the Giants speculated to have the top 6 pick, could trade up to No. 1 with the supposed New England Patriots to draft this highly-touted QB who is the potential No. 1 overall prospect. 

Will Carson Beck be the first overall pick in 2025? 

As multiple NFL mock Draft outlets have predicted, Carson Beck could be the top player to enter the 2025 NFL Draft given the credibility he achieved in his debut starting season in Georgia in 2023. At 6’4, 220 pounds, Beck has the right size, strong arms, and accuracy to become a top pick after leading the Bulldogs to a strong 13-1 season last year. 

Carson Beck was able to lock in an impressive record of 3,941 yards and 28 TDs, boosting his draft stocks. Do you think this could turn into a realistic scenario?
