Caleb Williams is so confident and sure that he rubs people the wrong way. Only two days remain before the big draft day in Detroit on April 25. The Chicago Bears’ potential top pick, Caleb Williams, is ready for anything. And even if it means lauding himself and earning hate from critics, the USC Trojans star QB is prepared to face the good and bad despite earning the reputation as “cocky” and “arrogant.”

Caleb Williams played college football for three seasons in Oklahoma and USC, where he recorded 10,082 passing yards, 93 TD passes, and 27 rushing TDs. His performance at the USC pro day underscored his hype as an accurate passer throughout his 50+ pass attempts, where he missed only four balls to his receiver. Even so, as a likely pick for the Bears, his confidence in himself doesn’t sit well with people.

MLFootball just uploaded an excerpt of Caleb Williams’ interview on The Pivot Podcast on X, in which he threw other draft QBs in the shade. In the video, he said, “If you look at the stats, and on average, I am the most dead center even dude for scrambling and throwing in the pocket… I am the farthest from all of them in every single way… I can do anything and everything as I want and as my team needs.” While it’s necessary for the top NFL Draft prospect to laud himself, fans aren’t on the same page with him, with one commenting, “Bro needs to be humbled so badly lmao.”

There’s no denying that Caleb Williams is an elite talent with a powerful arm, impressive scrambling abilities, and outstanding leadership qualities. After winning the 2022 Heisman Trophy, he finished the 2023 season with 388 pass attempts and 30 touchdowns in 12 games. However, many people think that he’s over-hyped entering the 2024 NFL Draft, with the football world opining that a rude awakening awaits him in the NFL.
