Xavier Worthy is entering the 2024 NFL Draft as the projected No. 7 WR, according to James Foster’s latest Big Board Ranking. He joined the Texas Longhorns as a WR in 2021 and immediately began playing. In his freshman season, he broke the program’s record with 981 yards and 12 receiving TDs, leading him to earn the prestigious title of true-freshman All-American by multiple sports outlets.
In early January, Worthy declared his decision to forgo his senior year and enter the 2024 NFL Draft, after which he broke the 40-yard dash record at the NFL Combine with an impressive speed of 4.21. This raised his draft stock, with ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. revealing that the Kansas City Chiefs might try to trade up in the upcoming draft to select him. Kiper further said, “Can you imagine if Xavier Worthy were there? With 4.21 speed?” According to Bleacher Report’s NFL Scouting Department Hub, Worthy is a favorite to land with the Chiefs as the No. 32 pick.
