The resemblance is uncanny! And even the Kansas City Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes acknowledges the similarity. 5-star freshman QB Dylan Raiola may still have more years to enter the professional league, but that doesn’t mean he can’t look like the potential future GOAT of the NFL!

Raiola arrived at the Nebraska Cornhuskers’ fall camp looking exactly like Mahomes. At first glance, many people might not be able to tell them apart. After all, even Mahomes’ former teammate couldn’t hold back his surprise when Nebraska uploaded a photo of Raiola entering training camp.

The clip went viral and even caught the attention of the Miami Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill who once played with Mahomes in Kansas City. Responding to Nebraska’s X clip, he tagged the NFL QB and wrote, “Boy ain’t no way,” followed by a laughing emoji. Mahomes replied with an admirable response, saying, “That’s my lil cuzzo.” Imagine the joy that Raiola got to find the star hyping him up! Taking to his IG story on August 1, the No. 1 QB of the 2024 class reposted Mahomes’ comment and captioned, “That’s real love my guy!

In the clip that went viral, Raiola was sporting a white T-shirt, black half-pants, and sneakers. He completed his look with big shades in the style of Mahomes, his signature curly mohawk hairstyle, and trimmed goatee. While fans are gushing over the resemblance between the two star QBs, Raiola isn’t just trying to copy his idol QB’s look. He’s poised to emulate Mahomes’ performance in his first season with the Cornhuskers.

Dylan Raiola is expected to shine in his debut season

Joining Matt Rhule and Nebraska amidst so many offers from top programs like Alabama, Georgia, and Ohio State, among others, Raiola is set to start for the Cornhuskers in his first college football season. Despite Nebraska finishing with an unimpressive record of 5-7 last year, the Buford HS standout attributes his decision to the ties he has with the program. He said on Rivals.com,With Nebraska, I always believed it was in my blood, it was in my heart, for a long time… The thing that separates Coach Rhule from a lot of people is just the way he connects with the players.

It’s no secret that the young star looks up to Mahomes as his idol from his appearance to his gameplay. He even wore the No. 15 jersey during Nebraska’s spring game, the number that the Chiefs’ star signal caller uses. Nebraska will open the season with a game against the UTEP Miners on September 1. Hopefully, the 6’3, 220-pounder will emulate Mahomes’ success on the field.
