Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are preparing for the highly anticipated Black and Gold spring weekend. Scheduled to begin on April 25, the spring weekend will host some of the most exciting events, including a Prime Time Elite Dinner, a university talent show, the spring game, and a highly touted concert.

But just two days before the big event kicked off, a very inspirational video caught Coach Prime’s attention. Deion Sanders isn’t just a strict HC; deep down, he empathizes with the less fortunate. And his latest Instagram post is a testament to how things touch the heart and soul of the 56-year-old Buffs HC.

On April 22, Deion Sanders reposted an IG reel of Cash Harris, who is known as @bubba_cashman13 on social media. In the video, the young child, who is a spina bifida patient, tries to impress his father, Chase Harris, by independently getting on his bed from his wheelchair despite having movement inability below the waist. Coach Prime shared his emotion in this tear-jerking post by writing, “This Blessed my Heart & made me really think of how blessed we are. This kid and his father are the Absolute meaning of Love.”

At just five years old, Cash Harris suffers from spina bifida, aka split spine, a birth defect where a baby’s spinal cord doesn’t develop fully. It’s a rare condition that occurs when the developing baby in the womb fails to develop or adequately close the spinal cord. Symptoms include weakness or lack of movement in the legs. Despite suffering from this unfortunate condition, Cash Harris is an undying sports fan, and his optimism toward life carries a powerful message that people should be thankful for underrated blessings such as being able to walk. As for Coach Prime, the focus is to prepare for the upcoming spring weekend in two days.

Let’s face it: Coach Prime thinks outside the box and yearns for innovation. The multi-day spring game event will showcase his innovative ability to concoct exciting plans where there will be a talent show, a CU football alumni reunion, and a Lil Wayne headlining concert aside from the Black and Gold spring game.

The main event, the game, will kick off at 1 PM on April 27 and will feature varying prices: $5 for students, $15 for bowl seats, and $25 for Byron White East Club seats. Pac-12 Network will broadcast the game live. This will officially set Deion Sanders’ second run in Colorado as the HC.
