Deion Sanders’ Ex-Wife Gifts Her Presence for Daughter Deiondra as Coach Prime Remains Absent From Gender Reveal Party

Deiondra Sanders, just like her family, has had a noisy year in the spotlight. After a public feud with a rapper Dreezy who used to date her beau Jacquees, she announced in March that she is pregnant with his baby. Fans were quick enough to shower her with their support. In return, Deiondra has shared regular updates about her pregnancy and health, including a gender reveal to be coming soon. 

It feels like just days ago, Deiondra showed fans ultrasound pictures of her “tall baby.” Now, everyone is guessing whether it’s a boy or a girl. Friends and family, including her mom Carolyn Chambers, joined in the guessing at the gender reveal party. However, her father, Deion Sanders, was visibly absent.

The Sanders family come together for ‘Team Healthy Baby’ except for Deion 

Today, May 18th, is a big day for Coach Prime as his daughter, Deiondra, is hosting a gender reveal party for her baby. Before the big reveal, Deiondra took to Instagram, posting pictures of the party preparations and asking, “Today is the day! 🙌🏾 I am so excited! 😬🤗 Are yall #TeamBoy or #TeamGirl?” She also provided voting options and interestingly, majority took “Team Girl” side.

However, the dad-to-be Jacquees, commented that he’s “TEAM BOY BUT TEAM HEALTHY BABY FASHOOOOO.” Many agreed, including health activist Gessie Thompson who is all in with “Team Healthy Baby.” Deiondra’s brother, Deion Sanders Jr., also showed support by sharing the post and adding “🔥🔥🔥” in the comments. Their mom, Carolyn Chambers, was also present at the party, wearing a purple outfit showing support for both teams. 

However, the Colorado Buffaloes head coach was absent from the show. Deion didn’t publicly share whether he’s hoping for a grandson or granddaughter, nor did he offer his usual words of encouragement for his daughter. He’s probably busy with rebuilding the roster and responding to critics. But even without her dad’s public comment, the excited couple is eagerly sharing their joy online, building excitement for the baby’s arrival.

Carolyn Chambers acts as the rock behind Deiondra Sanders

Before the gender reveal party, Deiondra Sanders opened up about her pregnancy journey in an interview. She admitted feeling unsure about whether she wanted a boy or a girl, initially leaning towards “team girl,” while her partner, Jacquees, was confident “team boy.” However, she admitted that she’s “going back and forth between team girl and team boy.” Amidst that, she shared that her mother, Carolyn Chambers, was initially upset about the pregnancy due to her history of fibroids. 

Despite this initial reaction, Carolyn has been a pillar of support, accompanying Deiondra to ultrasound appointments and offering constant encouragement. It was also revealed that the doctor who oversaw Carolyn’s pregnancy will be taking care of Deiondra as well, further strengthening their bond. The couple has received similar support throughout their journey from Deion’s ex-wife. Now it’s time for the “young grandad” Deion Sanders to shower some love and support.
