LeBron has finally fulfilled his promise. During the Los Angeles Lakers’ season opener against the Denver Nuggets last October, CU Buffs’ Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter shared a starstruck moment with LeBron James. James met with the college football stars after his game when Shedeur said, “You gotta send us your jersey, man! Gotta get us right.”

Months later, the promise made by LeBron to Shedeur and Travis has come to fruition, showcasing not only the basketball icon’s commitment to his word but also his genuine affection for those who admire him. James promised them their ‘package,’ and now he has delivered.

LeBron James is quite well known as a generous and loyal person who follows through with his commitments. He has sent Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter his signed Lakers ‘package’, as he had promised. While Hunter received his gifts in December, Shedeur’s package arrived recently.

Love y’all boys, man. Jerseys, shoes, everything, I’ll Take Care of Y’all,” he had promised the young footballers after his October 2023 game. As Well Off Media’s Instagram account recently shared, James stood firm on his promise as Shedeur Sanders shows the signed jersey to his college teammates.

Shedeur received the NBA star’s signed sneakers and his signed game jersey, feeling content as James “got them right.” Shedeur proudly flaunted the gifts amongst his teammates. They were shocked to see their quarterback’s close bonds with the NBA legend.

While LeBron addressed the footballers as if they were family members, it also goes on to showcase the impact these minute gestures can have on the outlook across sporting personalities. LeBron solidifies his status as a beloved figure and demonstrates the importance of giving back and supporting aspiring athletes.

Travis Hunter’s response to receiving gifts from LeBron James

LeBron James sent his pleasantries to Colorado Footballer Travis Hunter back in December. Travis Hunter courteously posted an Instagram story to express his gratitude by saying, ” Thank you, unc,” again showcasing their bond as if they were family. James reposted the story writing “Yessir nephew!!!“, showing his love and support for the college athletes and inspiring them.

After Sanders asked James for his jersey, Hunter was full of excitement as he grabbed his teammate and screamed. Travis and Shedeur have shared an innate connection ever since their time together in Jacksonville, so much so that Travis jumped at the chance to transfer to Colorado along with him and the rest of the Sanders clan.

And now, their bond has grown beyond just their inner circle, with LeBron adding him to the same tier as Shedeur calling him ‘nephew’ as well.
