Hence, when a tweet called out the accusations against LeBron James of pressuring NBA agents to join hands to get Bronny on the team during the NBA draft and signing a two-year, 120-million extension with the Lakers, Deion Sanders was not having it. The tweet against LeBron James read “Lebron tryna convince NBA free agents that he still the old Bron and they should join him on the Lakers.”

Deion Sanders, who has previously shown his excitement about Bronny James getting drafted with his father in the Lakers, defended the two on his X. “This AIN’T right!” Sanders said, stomping his foot in a no-nonsense manner. Coach Prime and his family have been in constant support of Bronny James getting drafted as the 55th pick in the NBA draft.

Deion Sanders had some wise words of advice for Bronny for him to face the pressure of performing per the mark his father has set. “Bronny is coming. He may not get there as quick as his father arrived. But he’s coming,” Coach Prime said, advising Bronny to take things at his pace, during his podcast with Carrington Fish.

His daughter, Deiondra, too, rejoiced while witnessing Bronny’s draft. Deiondra Sanders played a smart move there, highlighting the importance of family names and legacies through Bronny James’s example. “Bronny got drafted by the Lakers. I love to see it lol Y’all can’t tell me Legacies and last names don’t matter,” Deiondra wrote on X. Little did she know that dragging her family into the mess would only worsen the tornado of comments brewing up against his father and brother Shedeur.

Just like LeBron James was accused of plotting some moves behind the scenes for getting his son drafted to the Lakers, aka using the ‘daddy ball’. Deion Sanders has been accused of using the ‘daddy ball’ multiple times too. Hence, they would naturally come up when Shedeur’s draft pick talks emerge in the 2025 NFL draft.
