What luck! Bronny James has another Sanders on his fan list — it’s none other than Deion Sanders’ daughter, Deiondra!

Whenever a member of the Sanders family achieves something, she is the first one to express her support. Now that the basketball phenom had a breakthrough in the 2024 NBA Draft and will play alongside his father, LeBron James, it’s kind of déjà vu for Deiondra, and she gave a shout-out on her Instagram story.

Since her father and brother are also part of the same team, though at different positions, she felt a familiar pride from Bronny joining the LA Lakers. Is Deiondra contemplating the possibility of Bronny encountering nepotism attacks, like her brother Shedeur?

Deiondra appreciates Bronny’s NBA Draft talent

Even though she’s mostly confined to her home, Deiondra is cognizant of important developments beyond her family.

Good times seem to roll for LeBron’s son as he became the biggest name, and he was called No. 55 in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft on June 27. The 6-foot-1 guard, who played 25 college games and averaged 4.8 points, had a definite positive outcome. The point to be noted is all this glory came after surviving a sudden cardiac arrest.

Hence, Deiondra had to extend kudos to Bronny. She re-shared a post from the Baller Alert page and, for the caption, chose fire emojis denoting the expectations from Bronny at the Lakers.

Maybe, somewhere deep in her heart, Deiondra believes that Shedeur’s transition to the NFL will be as smooth as Bronny’s. While she waits for the Big Day to come, now that the basketball phenom will be on the same boat as his legendary father, chances reign supreme that he will become the fresh face of “nepotism.”

A similar situation arises for the young talents Shedeur and Bronny

The Deion-Shedeur duo has a wide following; a strong haters’ army also exists. Since Shedeur has followed in his father’s footsteps, moving out of JSU to land in Boulder, he has found himself an easy target for the attackers. Many have assumed that the Buffs QB runs low on talent and that the brand, Deion Sanders, has helped him sail through the college football landscape.

Shedeur ended the Buffs’ 2023 season as the player with the highest sack percentage, further fueling the “nepotism” rumor. Now that the quarterback will soon head to the NFL, the after-effect of being the ‘nepo-baby’ has adversely affected his draft stocks as recruiters are shying away from landing Deion’s son early. However, things are slightly different for Bronny since he has crossed the first threshold and has already found himself a place in the NBA.

However, it does not mean his professional acumen will safeguard Bronny from the caustic jabs. The negative comments have already begun pouring in for the USC alumni. It’s now to be seen how the legend’s son tackles the negativity that might set an example for Deiondra’s brother, Shedeur, to follow when he lands in the NFL.
