Today’s a special day for the Travis brothers as they celebrate their bond together. Both of them have scaled magnificent heights in their careers and while there’s still a long way to go, they can rest for a moment today and look back with pride and happy memories.

Devon Travis, the elder brother of Jordan,  came to the Blue Jays in trade from the Tigers on November 13, 2014, with Anthony Gose going to Detroit. After he underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus, Travis was removed from the Blue Jays roster elected as a free agency on November 7, 2019. Though he had a career that was short-lived, the fans all are remembering him today on account of his 33rd birthday, as is his brother, Jordan Travis.

Travis captioned the post by writing, “Happy birthday to my big little brother. Appreciate you for showing me the way and how to treat others. Love you man. @devotrav” While Jordan is one of the best quarterbacks in the NCAA as he plays for the Florida State Seminoles, Devon is a coach in Major League Baseball, who’s had an unbelievable career of his own. He used to be a former second baseman who made his debut with the Toronto Blue Jays. Now, on the occasion of his special day, the brotherly love has moved the fans who continue to set an example of what prime athletes are supposed to look like. Even though Devon’s career was cut short due to an injury, Jordan’s football career saw a similiar situation when he suffered a leg injury during a game.

The unfortunate end to FSU’s CFP dreams which stemmed directly from Jordan’s injury

Now that the NFL draft draws in closer, the fans can’t help but wonder whether or not the unsung hero of FSU will get drafted or not. He played exceptionally well in the 2023 season and had a major role in Florida’s undefeated run. But because of his injury, the team couldn’t be considered for the top 4 spots in the CFP rankings.

Ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft of 2024, Travis has partnered up with Dieric Jackson, who represents a lot of NFL players, like Anthony Richardson of the Colts. Maybe this is a wise move for Travis to have some sort of chances to make it into a team but so far, it’s not looking the best for him. Some fans claim that he might just be a potential 5th round pick but if there’s one thing that the sport of the NFL has taught us, is that you never know how the ball turns.
