Sunday softball game between UCLA and Utah garnered oohs and aahs from spectators as Maya Brady went on to set a career record of six RBIs in one game completing seven runs with two hits. The Bruins crushed their opponent 12-1 and swept the first Pac-12 conference series of the season. 

Seeing his niece take the spotlight means a lot to Uncle Tom Brady who is the NFL GOAT himself. And while UCLA celebrates their dominating victory, Maya Brady steals the affection and appreciation of her uncle who has a beautiful message for her following her achievement. 

Tom Brady expresses his pride for Maya Brady

Tom Brady couldn’t conceal his pride and excitement as Maya Brady set a pillar in her career softball. He took to IG to post a picture of his niece on his story tagging @uclasoftball and @mayabrady. He captioned, “So proud of you” followed by three red hearts. 

The appreciation is earned by Maya Brady who shone like a pro when she delivered her fourth career grand slam that drove Utah’s pitcher out of the circle. In the third inning, the bases loaded but Brady cleared them with a two-RBI knock giving UCLA an 11-1 lead. Brady said of the game, “It’s kind of a nine-on-one mentality. Nobody can do it out there alone. It’s just really all of us having a really good flow of energy and having our pitchers back.” Spoken like a true sportsman who understands the value of teamwork. It’s no wonder Tom Brady calls her the “most athletic” one in the Brady family.

This isn’t the first time Tom Brady has bragged about Maya Brady on social media. He has visited his niece, who’s the daughter of his older sister Maureen Brady, during her games multiple times. Maureen Brady was a star pitcher herself who led Fresno State to two women’s college world series appearances. Still, the 7x SB champ credits Maya Brady as the best athlete.

Previously, Tom Brady told the Boston Globe, “I think Maya is already the most athletic person of the family.” The UCLA star has already achieved numerous records including breaking a 24-year-old program record by setting 11 consecutive base hits in 2023. She sits third in the list of UCLA’s career slugging percentage and is the seventh player in the history of the program to secure five multi-homer games in their career. She’s undoubtedly a gem in the Brady family with a potentially bright future ahead of her.
