After a long and intense deliberation, the dust has finally settled! He may not have had success in the NFL two years ago when he interviewed with the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos. But the third year just saw him bagging one of the most lucrative HC roles in the NFL.

The LA Chargers ultimately landed their main target to serve as their head coach who was reportedly given a five-year deal. The Chargers made the announcement official on their social media page by uploading a picture of Jim Harbaugh as their new profile picture. In another post, they wrote, “Ladies and gentlemen, we got him. We’ve agreed to terms with Jim Harbaugh to be our head coach.”

Who’s the potential Jim Harbaugh replacement?

While the Chargers fans rejoice over the contract, Michigan now faces a new crisis. With the 60-year-old leaving the 15-0 Wolverines, they’ll be in the market looking for a new HC to replace Jim Harbaugh. The first candidate that might come to everyone’s mind is OC Sherrone Moore who stepped into the HC role during Harbaugh’s 6-game suspension in the 2023 season.

Michigan losing their HC to the NFL provides a similar scenario with Alabama. Hopefully, the Wolverines won’t have to suffer the same fate as Alabama, who underwent a series of major roster changes ever since former HC Nick Saban retired. With Moore as a potential HC, Michigan might be able to prevent a major roster blowup of the transfer portal. But as of now, another round of suspense goes to Michigan as they’re now without an HC.
