The first-ever college player to forfeit the all-important Heisman trophy is getting it rightfully back! As the NCAA world hails the moment, Deion Sanders too chips in his part. Sanders took to his Instagram to share a picture of Reggie Bush with the Heisman trophy to give a nod to the historic moment in college football.

The news came straight from the Heisman Trust, announcing the formal “reinstatement” of the trophy to Bush amid what it calls “enormous changes in the college football landscape.” Bush renounced the trophy following significant NCAA sanctions for USC, some of which alleged Bush and his family received improper benefits during his career.

Following the enormous changes in the NCAA policies during last year, the former star of USC would again be induced in the Heisman ceremonies. “Personally, I’m thrilled to reunite with my fellow Heisman winners and be a part of the storied legacy of the Heisman Trophy, and I’m honored to return to the Heisman family,” Bush shared with ESPN.

The entire football world is happy for Bush, with Deion being one of the first to laud it. Of course, since Bush had some big praises and even bigger predictions to make about Deion Sanders, it was only fair for Sanders to return it.
Reggie Bush’s prediction for Deion Sanders
When Bush praised Deion Sanders, he took the opportunity to pass a bold prediction for him as well. “Once his sons are gone, because I think what he’s doing with his sons is history. When’s the last time we’ve seen a head coach and the son is the star quarterback of the team? The script is writing itself,” Bush said.
