The pride and glory of the Hilltoppers is making his way to the NFL to establish his legacy as a proud member of the Corley family. This is no other than Malachi Corley, one of the top WRs in this year’s draft.
Malachi Corley, the wide receiver for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, is a phenomenal talent on the field. His 2022 season made him a top-10 WR in the nation due to his incredible stats. Corley is projected to be the third-best WR in the draft, right behind Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka. With all that said, here’s a look at his parents today, who have worked so hard to see their son be a professional football player.

As we approach Day 2 of the NFL Draft 2024, here’s a look at who Malachi Corley’s parents are as he prepares to step foot into the biggest phase of his career. Though Corley is considered a highly underrated player by many, his parents’ love and support for him seem enough to keep giving his best.
One of my favorite things about WR Malachi Corley's game is his appetite for blocking downfield.
Some guys just try to get in front of and "shield" off defenders, but Malachi Corley wants to destroy them.

The Corleys are a family of 5 people. The WR’s mother is Latonya Bridgewater, and Wilando Bridgewater is his stepfather. Additionally, Corely has a sister and a brother named De’Erricka and Micah, respectively. The official details of Corley’s biological father are unknown; moreover, the family doesn’t spend much time in the limelight anyway. Hopefully, the fans will catch a glimpse of the family as they arrive in style to see their loved one flourish in the draft.

What’s also interesting to note is that Corley never decided to leave the Hilltoppers even though the team doesn’t hold a big place in the HoF of college football. Here are Corley’s words on why he chose to stay in Kentucky rather than transfer despite several offers.
Why did Corley never leave Kentucky?
The youngster is locked in as he prepares to join the League of Legends. He recently talked to PFF in an interview and discussed how he’s constantly undervalued in the NCAA. Moreover, he piqued the interest of all the fans when he talked about why he chose to be so loyal to Kentucky rather than join a consistently successful team.

Corley said, “I was never looking for the big stage. I like being the whole wheel rather than a spoke in the wheel. I didn’t want to be another good player that went to Ole Miss or Texas A&M or wherever it may have been. I wanted to make a name for myself in my own way at Western Kentucky and leave a legacy. This community, the way that my coaches treat me, the way that I’m respected around the campus and amongst my peers, everyone here believes in me. “
Moreover, Corley is now predicted to be a favorite of the Steelers while a lot of the fans hope it is the Patriots that ultimately end up drafting the Hilltops QB. With his exceptional talent and speed, Corley would be a tremendous fit in the NFL and the day is not too far when we get to witness him in action.
