Shedeur Sanders has been known to be the franchise player of the Buffs for a very long time now. However, after a rough couple of weeks, his reputation took a massive hit, and it looks like the fans aren’t too excited about him anymore. With the cover release of the new college football game, Shedeur has been snubbed and while the Buffs’ fans are usually protective of him, they threw him right in the fire this time.
The QB for the Colorado Buffaloes has demonstrated an amazing skill set on the gridiron during the 2023 season. But an overexuberant personality that comes with its share of pride has landed him in a lot of trouble over social media. The backhanded comments that Shedeur made against Xavier Smith were one of the primary reasons for all the backlash towards the youngster. Now it doesn’t look like there’s anything protecting him from the wrath of the fans, even Deion Sanders.

The cover sees the back of several talents, including the likes of Travis Hunter, Donovan Edwards, Jalen Milroe, and even Quinn Ewers. Kleiman’s tweet read, “Many fans are upset that Shedeur Sanders is nowhere to be seen on the Deluxe cover of EA Sports College Football 25.” The fans stormed the comments to immediately opposed this, except a few who still celebrated Colorado’s win through Travis Hunter.

This user made his peace with the fact that at least one Colorado player made it to the cover by invoking Travis Hunter’s name. He wrote, “Stop pushing a narrative here this is not true, we got Travis on the cover – Buffs fans are stoked to even have a player on the cover” Though this fan tried to pacify the situation by speaking up for the entire fans’ community, it was evident from other reactions that not everyone saw the situation in the same light.
Fans react to Shedeur’s snub from the cover of College Football 25
Buffaloes’ Shedeur Sanders is widely considered as one of the most influential players in the league and as such, there was a lot of hype around the possibility that he might be one of the players on the cover. Even though the 2023 Heisman contender would be disappointed, the fans don’t seem to be stressing too much.
One of the fans wrote, “Dont remember him, must be very mid,” which is a direct connection to the exact same words that Shedeur used in his controversial statement about Xavier Smith.

It looks like Shedeur has managed to tick everyone off from his social media antics, earning him a very bad name among the fans. As such, he needs to let his performance on the field speak up rather than his phone’s keyboard in the future.
