Will Carson Beck and Brock Bowers' reunion be the game-changer in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Shedeur Sanders is getting mixed signals from early mock drafts. Well, a proper rollercoaster ride! Initially, he was overshadowed by Georgia quarterback Carson Beck.

Beck dominated almost every mock draft as a top QB, with Shedeur trailing just behind. But then, like a plot twist, Shedeur began to climb the rankings, surpassing Beck in some predictions. That’s got to feel great, right? Well, not entirely, as it might throw a wrench in Coach Prime’s hopes for where his son would land.

Last month, Ian Valentino from the 33rd Team released a mock draft placing Shedeur Sanders as the No. 8 pick for the Las Vegas Raiders, while Beck was projected to go at No. 5 to the New York Giants. Fast forward to now, and the 33rd Team just posted “The first 8 picks in our 2025 mock draft,” which is a complete flip. It slots Shedeur at No. 6 heading to the Giants, while Beck is following at No. 7 to the Raiders. Both quarterbacks lost the No. 1 spot, but it’s still a surprise shake-up.

Shedeur has around 69% pass completion rate with 3,230 yards, while Beck edges him out with a 72% completion rate and 3,941 yards. They are both sure to be top picks in the 2025 NFL draft. But now, surprising names like Will Campbell and Mason Graham are topping the list.

Interestingly, Beck’s landing with the Raiders could reunite him with his former Georgia teammate, tight end Brock Bowers. This duo already helped the Bulldogs secure back-to-back titles. And the Raiders fans might be eager for a similar championship vibe with a potential Beck-Brock combo. While that’s exciting, Shedeur heading to the Giants might be a bit of a letdown. After all, the Sanders family has rooted for him to join the Raiders all this while!

Deion wishes Shedeur Sanders and Antonio Pierce combo!

Have an interesting take?

Shedeur Sanders being a top 10 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft seems like a sure thing. But the big question is where he’ll land. While it’s still early, the Las Vegas Raiders have been famous in recent mock drafts. Not only has Ian Valentino from the 33rd Team predicted this, but ESPN’s Matt Miller also paired Shedeur with the Raiders, placing him at No. 2. Miller also predicts Carson Beck will go first to the Giants, paving the way for a fresh Sanders-Bowers union at the Raiders.

Now, the Sanders clan also seems excited about these predictions. Last week, on Shedeur’s new “legendary” podcast, the three Sanders brothers discussed their NFL futures. Deion Sanders Jr. expressed his hopes, saying, “Shedeur to Vegas, you [Shilo] to Dallas.” Even Coach Prime has shown his support for Shedeur joining the Raiders. During the Buffs Big 12 media day, when asked about Shedeur going to the Raiders, he hinted, “That would be nice for [Shedeur] to play for Raiders,” praising the team’s head coach, Antonio Pierce, as a “great leader.”

However, Coach Prime made it clear he doesn’t want the Raiders to struggle just to get a higher draft pick. “I don’t want him [Pierce] to lose to the point where he has the ability to get Shedeur, let’s get that straight,” he said. Looks like the Buffs head coach has a special respect for Coach Pierce, and he might just want to see his son play under him soon!
