The pressure on the head of Jerry Jones has never been higher as the Draft Day crawls closer each day. The team will need to make drastic changes to their squad if they hope to pursue their dreams of a Super Bowl yet again. With the recent invitation to Texas players, they seem to be moving in the right direction.

The Cowboys’ 2023 run ended disappointingly. Their record came to a halt at a 12-5 record, the best in the NFC East division. However, after making it to the NFL Wild Card round and being defeated at the hands of the Green Bay Packers, they had to bid adieu to their dream of a Super Bowl yet once again. Jerry Jones is riding on a lot of expectations and maybe 2024 is the season things change for his team as three players from the Longhorns are being invited ahead of the Draft.

As per the latest update, the Dallas Cowboys are wasting no time in securing future Draft prospects. Though the Cowboys are far below in the list with the 26th pick, it seems only right that they filter out the youngsters who could prove to be valuable additions to the team that hasn’t won a Super Bowl since 1996. A very severe trophy drought has been circling the city of Dallas and with this year’s Draft, they’ll be hoping to turn things around soon.

The Cowboys are inviting RB Jonathan Brooks, TE Ja’Tavion Sanders, and DT Byron Murphy from the team of Texas Longhorns as a means to promote the local talent. These players could probably be seen in the blue and silver jerseys this year but with tensions and speculations on the rise, the Draft tends to be unpredictable and could swing the other way as well. With all that said, Byron Murphy might not be available to be picked by the Cowboys despite their infatuation with the DT.

Byron Murphy might not make it to the Cowboys at pick 24, as per NFL Draft analyst

The Cowboys Dallas might not have had the most success in the NFL but that hasn’t ever had a hit on their mighty wallet. Jones’ team boasts of a valuation of $9 billion, making them the league’s most valuable franchise. Even though they have a lot to splurge on their new players like Byron Murphy, the Draft might not be too kind to the Cowboys since they have been awarded the 24th pick.

As per Destin Adams of AZ Sports, “The Cowboys duo off the edge of their defensive line is one of the best in the entire NFL with Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawerence.  So them deciding to bring Murphy II in a for visit shouldn’t shock anyone. He’s one of the best defensive prospects in this entire draft class, and honestly, I think it’s fair to question if he will even make it to the Cowboys at pick 24. ” Thus, the Cowboys might not see the Draft go in their favor this year. They stand at quite a low rank on the table. As such, even with Jones’ best efforts, it is likely that the Cowboys’ 20+ year drought will take over the 2024 season as well.
