It will certainly be an awkward game when the Kansas State Wildcats take on the Colorado Buffaloes on October 12th. Since  Dylan Edwards decided to depart from Coach Prime’s team, tensions might be high when the two teams face off against each other soon.

Dylan Edwards, the former running back for the Colorado Buffaloes, was the team’s leading rusher during his freshman year in 2023. But after just one season, he has decided to commit to the Kansas State program after entering the transfer portal on April 24. Now he just might be the reason for war between the Wildcats and the Buffaloes when they meet next.

On April 28th, it was confirmed that the Kansas State Wildcats will be Edwards’ next team in the NCAA. Furthermore, Edwards himself confirmed the news by posting an image of himself in a Wildcats’ jersey on X. Edwards was a great addition to the Buffaloes and rushed for 321 yards for them in 2023.

When the Wildcats come to Boulder to play the Buffaloes on October 12th, Edwards will be the prodigal son as he tries to lead the men in purple to a win against his former team. Edwards will be joining the Wildcats’ program that features the likes of DJ Giddens and Avery Johnson, in a team that boasts of a terrific rushing attack. As for Coach Prime, he has lost yet another valuable player from Colorado but as per Shedeur Sanders, it’s all for the best.

Shedeur Sanders believes all the negative energies have been released

Since the 2023 season, the Buffs have been riding on many expectations for their 2024 season. This is supposed to be their redemption year and yet, Cormani McClain and Dylan Edwards’ exit has the fans raising a few eyebrows. Fortunately. Shedeur reassured the fans that the team would be fine without these players anyway.

Shedeur addressed the situation of the transfer portal and took a subtle dig at the players who left. He said, “I feel like we got all the negative energies out of the building, it’s positive vibes now. There’s no complaining. We have to go out there and play with a clear mind and win.” His words come a few weeks after he had a little social media beef with Cormani McClain over his allegations of the Colorado team focusing solely on ‘clicks.’ Moreover, since this is Shedeur’s last season in Colorado, he will be giving it his all to ensure that his father’s head is held up high with a natty victory.
