The name of Cormani McClain continues to be one of the hottest topics in the world of college football right now. After an ever-so-public spat with Coach Prime and Shedeur Sanders joining in on the action, McClain and his mother have had a tumultuous few weeks but now they might be setting their eyes on a new team, the Florida Gators.

Cormani McClain has been receiving a massive storm of backlash ever since he narrated his experience of being at Boulder. One of his statements regarding his exit from Colorado said that the team plays more for “clicks” than the actual sport itself. This led to a lot of dismay among Coach Prime fans who couldn’t stop trolling the youngster, also predicting a failed career for him spitefully. But as fate would have it, he’s rumored to be heading to a top-tier team in the NCAA soon, and yet, still drawing fire from the fans.

The 5-star rated prospect has had it really rough and has become a public enemy of the Buffs’ fans. Kaishay McClain and Deion Sanders shared a brief interaction on X, where both of them resonated the emotions, “No love lost here.” Now, both the mother and the CB should be happy since they’ve received plenty of offers already. As per recent rumors, McClain could be heading to Billy Napier’s team but no official confirmations have been made yet.

This fan had a few harsh words to say and pointed out how Cormani’s mother is dictating over the course of his career. He said, “Just where Polk kids go to fail. Probably not the best place for him but allows his mom to continue controlling his life cause she will be so close.” Though the negativity continues to prick the name of McClain, the other fans had quite mixed reactions to the unconfirmed rumor.

McClain’s Florida rumors branded as “click bait

It is obvious that the Colorado fans wouldn’t want the talented McClain to end up at Florida, as he could hold the power to hinder their chances of a better season for them. Still, the heat lowered for McClain for a minute when a few users voiced out their desires for McClain to come and join the Gators.

This user responded to the rumor by writing out a 2-word comment. He said, “Click bait.” Hence, insinuating that the report is most probably false and generated just to gain clicks.

Next, this fan doesn’t seem to think that Cormani McClain would be suitable for the Gators as he wrote, “Bad fit for Florida” Even though McClain has offers from schools like Oregon and Texas, Napiers’ team could very well be a place where his talents are scaled drastically.

Another user couldn’t believe his eyes on seeing this report and tweeted, “🤣believe when we see it

A fan of the Gators spoke for the rest of the fans and clearly voiced out the importance of McClain if he were added to the roster. He wrote, “Florida fans acting like we shouldn’t take a 5 star DB from a program that helped carry us to a national championship in 2008. Yall are tripping. Take this kid I a heartbeat and figure it out

Lastly, one user emphasized the strict regulations that the university follows and how it’ll ensure that McClain is good in academics as well. His words read, “If the coach wants him, who am I to say no? He gets paid millions to make those decisions. Also, that means he had no academic issues because UF academics are tough; they don’t bend the rules. 🐊🐊🐊🐊🐊

Thus, it is evident that McClain could go on to be a phenomenal athlete under Billy Napier and the Gators, but there’s still a long way to go before an official announcement is released.
