The star of the Huskies proves yet again why he’s an upcoming generational talent with the mindset of a true athlete. The 2023 Maxwell Award-winning quarterback as the nation’s outstanding player has left the fans with their jaws wide open with a recent update about the way he lives in his home.

Michael Penix Jr., the quarterback for the Washington Huskies, was the spine behind his team’s success in the past season. Penix played a major role in leading the team to a CFP top 4 playoff spot. Unfortunately, they lost to the Wolverines during the national championship game by a score of 34-13, but if it had gone in the favour of the Huskies, Penix’s draft stock could have been way higher today. Now, he has shared an insight into his home and how he chooses to be constantly reminded of his duties as a quarterback and it’s commendable, to say the very least.

As per the latest report, the Huskies’ QB has demonstrated an unbelievable amount of determination in the sport of football by constantly reminding himself of game strategies. The 23-year-old is on his way to being a top-5 pick at the Draft pick and a recent insight into his lifestyle just shows how much of a tunnel vision he possesses when it comes to being a better player.

The mirrors in the bathroom of Penix Jr., are covered in game designs. This would supposedly help the youngster to constantly be in a footballer’s mindset and not stray away from the true purpose of the gridiron. Moreover, the 2023 Heisman Trophy runner-up is awaiting his chances of being drafted at the number 5th position, a spot which both he and Bo Nix will be battling it out for.

With all that said, here’s a look at the phenomenal Pro Day performance that he exhibited, which will surely increase his chances of being a top pick.

Michael Penix’s Pro Day show draws in a lot of praise with a 4.5 40-yard dash

Penix is an outstanding quarterback who has demonstrated great signs of being a tremendous NFL player. He led the Huskies to a natty game last season and during his two years with the team, his record stood at a staggering 25-3. Moreover, he also led the entire nation in passing yards in each of those seasons.

His 40-yard dash was clocked at a time between 4.56 to 4.59 even though Penix believes it to be way off. He said, “I’m a 4.4 guy, in my opinion. Some people had 4.46, some people had 4.5, but that’s unofficial, so I’m good.” The QB didn’t practice any drills at the Combine but at the Huskies’ pro day, he recorded a 36.5-inch vertical jump and a broad jump of over 10 feet and 5 inches.

In response to Penix’s talent, Field Yates, a fantasy football analyst for ESPN, said, “I’ve seen him throw in person before, it wasn’t my first time, but every time you see him, you just think the ball just flies off of his hand. I mean, the amount of natural power that Michael Penix Jr. drives on the football every single throw is ridiculous. It’s effortless. I mean, it’s just a rocket that he has attached to his left arm.” Thus, Penix seems to be going places come Draft Day since his numbers and records continue to speak highly of him.
