J.J. McCarthy’s custom sneakers in question have been curated by Jada From The Block, Jada Kitna Henderson’s pandemic baby. It all began when, while serving as the Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback coach in 2019, Jon Kitna informed Dak Prescott about his daughter’s talent in customizing shoes. Intrigued by the idea, Prescott later reached out to Kitna when contemplating personalized Air Jordan 1 shoes as Christmas gifts for his friends. “We sent them to her, and she blew it away,” Prescott later recalled.

In the summer of 2021, Prescott signed a deal with Jordan Brand, pledging to sport different Air Jordan cleats for the forthcoming Cowboys’ season. However, owing to COVID-related supply chain challenges, he received plain white and black cleats. Despite supply chain challenges, Jada transformed plain cleats into unique designs for Prescott. Impressed by her work, Prescott continued collaborating with Jada, whose custom shoe hobby turned into a full-time job as she shared her creations on social media.

Jada From The Block takes the NFL world by storm
Henderson, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, has expanded her clientele to include several Cowboys players, like All-Pro DE/LB Micah Parsons, Pro Bowl WR CeeDee Lamb, RB Tony Pollard, WR Michael Gallup, S Donovan Wilson, CB Jourdan Lewis, LB/S Markquese Bell, WR Jalen Tolbert, and OL Chuma Edoga.

Living in a two-bedroom apartment with her husband, LaDarius Henderson, who plays for the University of Michigan football team, their second bedroom has been transformed into a paint shop for her customization projects. Henderson’s journey started at Arizona State, experimenting with old cleats and learning from experts like DeJesus Custom Footwear.
