The star of the LSU Tigers doesn’t seem too hopeful about the possibility of playing with Malik Nabers again. With the Draft only 2 days away now, the conversations about Jayden Daniels’ future have never been more important.
Both Nabers and Daniels took center stage at LSU’s Pro Day recently and got the interest of teams like the Patriots and the Giants piqued heavily. Even though there is a slight possibility that the pair could land with the New England Patriots together, Daniels doesn’t seem to have high hopes. Moreover, the duo has played together since the 2022 season and now will be parting ways as they step into the NFL, and the QB has made his peace with the reality.

In an exclusive interview with EssentiallySports today, the star of the LSU team sat down with one of our very own interviewers. Daniels was asked several questions about his Draft future and being a predicted number 1 pick as per an AFC scout. Later, he responded to an inquiry if he could see playing with Malik Nabers or any of his teammates at the Tigers. Unfortunately for the fans, the QB doesn’t think that the situation is likely to happen but is excited for his teammates’ future, regardless.

Daniels said, “Nah, we not going to be able to play with each other. No crazy trades? Naah Probably not. But I mean it’s blessed. We all Out here in Detroit, being able to experience those moments with them. First Past two years to get to this point. So to be able to spend that time with them is awesome.”
Daniels is predicted to be a second pick overall and might be heading to the Washington Commanders, while Nabers is rumored to be picked by either the Chargers or the New York Giants at number 5 and number 6 respectively. With all that being said, here’s Daniels’ answer to the best trait he looks forward to showcasing in the NFL.

The New England Patriots are in a tough spot since they will have to decide about their number 3 pick, as Jayden Daniels is expected to be either a second or a third pick, right behind either Drake Maye or JJ McCarthy. However, it doesn’t look like the Patriots have to worry about Daniels being drafted by the Commanders at number 2 since most of the draft projections put him at number 3, right in the mouths of Jerod Mayo’s team.
As the doorway to the NFL draws closer for the LSU QB, here’s what he’s most excited to do when he enters the bigger league. Daniels revealed, “I’d say, kinda just everything. I mean, I would say, my ability to make play outside of the pocket. But really everything. How can I expand the knowledge of my game? How can I go out there and look for different ways on how I can lead? Just figuring out ways to do that but I’m just excited to get into the league, live out my dream, and be able to be successful in the future.“
