Almost like a second job, Deion Sanders never ceases to hook his fans, be it with the quirky exchanges with his children, or with the upfront support he has for players who missed their catches by a bit. The (in)famous catch miss by Kadrius Toney, and the repercussions, have garnered pivotal attention. So much so that Ocho Cinco and Deion Sanders entered into an astringent war of words.

Cinco and Sanders already picked their sides before sitting down on the latest ‘NightCap’ episode. Chad Johnson already placed a hefty $200 bet on Toney missing the catch.

“I bet that he had a drop that led to a pick.” Deion Sanders, on the other hand, was not too pleased with the statement. Having played the role of a wide receiver himself, knows the vitality of missed caught, and the dawning of sadness upon that becoming a deciding pass.

Deion Sanders’ message to Toney and Mahomes

Everyone was a witness to the raving fiasco that unfolded at the Gillette Stadium. And the $50,000 fine that followed. Deion Sanders had experienced the missed catches, minus the thrashing by the QB. Looking at the catastrophe of a broadcast on national TV, Coach Prime had a message for Toney. “Hey boy, keep your head up. Get back to work and keep on working how about keep your hands up.”

Toney was not the only one on the receiving end of Coach Prime’s message. Mahomes bagged an advice from Sanders. “Don’t show up your receiver on National Television,” stated he. However, Mahomes’s pent-up frustration right from week 1 was the origin of the outburst. Walking in week 15, the Chiefs are leading in dropped passes. Clearly, it was not just this game’s lousiness that earned Toney the backlash.

Toney finished with two receptions for five yards and two drops on four targets. The WR’s poor performance is no secret. He has dropped a good number of catches, so much so that his tenure with the Chiefs is at stake here. Ultimately, many paths lead to a conclusion that WR Toney might hit the sidelines in Chief’s week 16 showdown against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Chiefs’ WR needs to buckle up

As the Chiefs are doing every possible thing to repeat history, the recent history of winning the Super Bowl, they cannot afford these dropped catches. Andy Reid might not wager the calmness of his focus player Mahomes for Toney.
