One of the most talked about entities in the world of college football is the Trojans’ QB and he has been making waves for his hesitancies regarding the NFL Draft. So much so, that the fans were quick to call him out and declare him as a controversial figure. But now, Caleb Williams finally clears the air and speaks up on his true intentions as he prepares to take on the NFL head-on.

Caleb Williams, the quarterback for the USC Trojans, is one of the best players to come out of the 2023 season. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner was on his way to win the trophy yet again last year but a brutal 52-42 loss at the hands of the Huskies dashed his dreams to the ground. Since then, he’s often been criticized for crying on national television and even for applying nail paint but now Williams has revealed his ambitions in the sport and the fans will have to respect his honest opinion.

In a recent clip from ‘SiriusXM NFL Radio’, USC’s QB Caleb Williams joined the show to discuss his future as he continues to be a hot topic amid NFL Draft conversations. He talked about what he likes outside of the world of college football and further mentioned his goals as heads into the NFL, possibly as a QB for the Chicago Bears. While earlier he was being termed as a problematic figure because of his reservations about the NFL Combine and the medical evaluations, his recent statement just firms the belief that he is genuinely just aiming to be a legendary player in the sport of football.

He said, “I want to be the best quarterback. I want to reach certain points that really only one guy has reached in the NFL. That’s really my only goal. Legends live on and I wanna be a legend. I wanna have a golden jacket. I want to be the best that I can possibly be and I think that’s enough to reach that point.”

Thus, as a glorious career awaits him in the NFL, Williams has made it clear that he wants to be the next Tom Brady in the sport, if not better. Moreover, the world of the NFL was taken by surprise when Williams talked about being better than the former QB for the Bucs and said that he’s aiming for 8 Super Bowl wins, an overly ambitious goal yes but his confidence is to be appreciated.

During an interview with GQ, Williams was asked about what his goals for his career were and he replied with winning 8 rings. When asked to elaborate, Williams said, “Tom Brady has seven, so you’ve got to set the bar high.“Winning 8 Super Bowls seems like a far-fetched reality for the young QB but if there’s anything that the NFL has taught us, is that the football soars unprecedentedly, and maybe, it could go in Williams’ favor.
