On the latest episode of the ‘CHGO Sports’ podcast, host Mark Carman spoke on the Bears’ drafting Caleb Williams and what it will mean for the team going forward. Additionally, he dove deep into how the Bears should train Williams since he’s a rookie quarterback.

Carman said, “Let the dude play. Let him learn. Let him throw the football. I’m not saying you throw it 40 times in week 1. But you know, running it more than throwing it to try and win games. That should not be their plan. I get it, he’s not the only one in the locker room, but he is a rookie quarterback they’re trying to develop to get to a point where you can win the Super Bowl.”

Thus, it is evident that Williams still needs to learn the ropes of the league since the stakes and the level is much greater than what he was accustomed to during his time with college football. With all that said, here’s Colin Cowherd comparing Williams to the likes of the Bills’ Josh Allen.
