The Oregon Ducks fans couldn’t be happier today as both of the team’s star players will be playing alongside each other in the Denver Broncos. Troy Franklin is one of the most joyous players in the Draft since he’ll get to go to battle with his best friend Bo Nix, by his side.

Troy Franklin, the former wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks, is a phenomenal athlete. In a rather interesting move, the Broncos traded up to bring Franklin to the team, which could be proof of the success the duo of Nix-Franklin had in Oregon together. The pair was the Ducks’ strongest weapon in the NCAA and under coach Sean Payton, the duo will face the mighty giants of the NFL while donning the orange jerseys.

With the 102nd pick by the Denver Broncos, the WR Troy Franklin will finally begin his pro-football career in the NFL. Nix and Franklin formed an inseparable bond during their two seasons in Oregon and will continue their run in Denver at the Mile High Field. What’s rather interesting to note is that the fans and most NFL analysts predicted Franklin to go to the Patriots and yet, the Broncos ended up swooping the WR away.

In response to playing with his friend Nix, Franklin expressed his joy in a 5-word statement that said, “That’s my guy right there.” With Nix at the other end throwing out to Franklin, the WR secured 61 catches, 891 yards, and over 9 touchdowns.

Moreover, Bo Nix as the QB and Franklin as the WR is going to be an explosive pair that led the Ducks to a ton of wins in the 2023 season and hopefully, they can recreate their magic with the Broncos this year. With all that said, here’s Franklin expressing his gratitude for the opportunity in a recently released video.

Troy Franklin can’t wait to play for the Broncos

The WR admitted that it got a bit frustrating since he had to wait until Day 3 to be drafted, but he’s happy overall that he will be playing for the Broncos and of course, being reunited with Bo. As such, it was a clear incentive for Sean Payton to draft the WR named the second-team All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 player.

Expressing his joy for the drafting, Franklin said, “Man, I’m just feeling the joy. I’m relaxed now. Just wanted to get my name called. Just a blessed feeling. It’s great to be selected. I don’t even know what to say right now. It’s just a dream come true. So glad somebody gave me a chance. The Broncos gave me a chance to go out there, showcase my talent, do whatever I need to do to help the team.”
