Only six days ago, Kalen DeBoer, the new HC for Alabama, took to a conference after spring football practice. He talked about the team’s state and told the media that Jalen Milroe would be the team’s starting quarterback.
Concerning his skill and determination, this is what the running back for Alabama, Justice Haynes, had to say about his QB. He said, “J-Mil, he’s a great leader. He leads all the time. He leads by example. He’s the first one here in the morning. He’s going to lead. He’s going to grind. The work that he puts in, I love it. We push each other. During 4th Quarter, we were right there neck-and-neck pushing each other like ‘How bad do you want it?”
Thus, the youngster is impressing all with his consistency and performance, but what does it mean for him to be the No. 1 quarterback? Find out about his response below.
Milroe acknowledges the responsibility that comes along with being the starting QB
There is no doubt that Milroe used to be Saban’s gem on the roster as well. Now that Saban is gone, Milroe’s shoulders will rest heavy with the burdens of fans and teammates. But now that he is finally leading the team at the forefront, here’s what it feels like for Milroe.
A few players have tried to beat Jalen Milroe to Alabama's athletic facility in the morning. So far, none have succeeded.

He said, “There’s a lot of things that are asked for a quarterback, but No. 1 is just about leading the operation and being confident. Whether it’s post-snap or pre-snap reads, there’s a lot of things that we can do to be explosive as an offense and be the best offense in the country.
Milroe added, “I’m excited because there’s a lot of things this offense can offer. All we want to do right now is master it so we’ll be ready.” As the next season draws closer, all eyes will be on DeBoer and Milroe as they try to prove that Alabama is still a force to be reckoned with, even without the legendary Nick Saban.
