Eli Manning and Kevin Durant are some of the most celebrated athletes in their respective sports. But recently they were seen together inside the MetLife Stadium playing a little of football.

Eli Manning, the two-time Super Bowl winner, was seen tossing a touchdown pass to the two-time NBA Champion Kevin Durant, in a clip shared by Overdose on Twitter; originally shared by Rich Kleiman on his Instagram account. Both the champion athletes represent the city of New York filmed the segment in the home ground of the New York Giants.

The segment was shot following a bold claim made by the Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant to his manager Rich Kleiman. As the small forward claimed that he could play football too, and that his preferred position would be that of a wideout. “I mean, I could play football,” Kevin Durant said on the “Boardroom: Outside the Office” podcast. “I can be a wideout at least…Well, I could go, all go routes.”

Eli Manning throws a TD throw to Kevin Durant

And so his bold claim was then put to practice after Kevin Durant was called to the MetLife Stadium to play a little ball with the New York Giants legend Eli Manning. His abilities to catch the pigskin was put to use after Eli threw the ball up to the NBA star. Although Kevin caught the pigskin comfortably just as he catches the basketball.

And so in that clip it felt as if Kevin Durant perfectly replaced Odell Beckham Jr. to become the most favorite target for Eli Manning in the gridiron. Not to mention that Eli and OBJ have a pretty wonderful history behind them. Since the duo has connected on several occasions, including the miraculous one-handed catch.

It was an incredible scenario to watch two incredible athletes of different sports reunite for a brief TD throw. However, what will be even more amusing is watching Eli dunk the basketball in the Barclays Center. As it’s always fun, to see a sporting crossover now and then.
