Tom Brady received some backlash from critics over his magnanimous deal with Fox News earlier in 2022. However, the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has some words of support for the NFL legend and is shutting his critics down. Even though Brady is not expected to start with Fox until he stops playing, it is still a cause of criticism amongst his fans.

In March 2022, the QB signed a 10-year deal with Fox News paying him a whopping $375 million. Perhaps one of the biggest deals in the sports division of Fox. Brady has not yet shown his any prowess in front of the camera, but rest assured Brady has the wit and resources to nail anything he puts his mind and energy towards.

Moreover, fans love to hate him and some have voiced their opinions to disapprove of this deal. However, NBA Hall of Famer and serially entertaining  Shaquille O’Neal has come out supporting the 7x Super Bowl-winning champion. According to Shaq, it is pure hate if someone demonstrates any anger against the greatness of the kind that Tom Brady has achieved.

Shaq has defended the Buccaneers QB saying that any criticism against Brady’s broadcasting stint with Fox is meaningless. Moreover, he believes that with what TB12 has achieved in his 22-year-long career, he deserves to get the kind of money he is being offered.

What did Shaquille O’Neal say to shut down Brady’s critics?

Speaking on the Big podcast, Shaq says, “He’s not paving the way because everybody can’t and ain’t going to get this money. Seven Super Bowls, clean cut, good looking, speaks well, he deserves all the money. Whoever says he doesn’t deserve the money, shut your face. Shut your damn face! I’m happy for him.”

Going ahead, he said, “LeBron and all these guys when they get their money, OK. But when you start to question it is all the bums, how much money they get and then they talk about, my back hurts, I need to have back surgery. That’s when you start to question people’s money, but you can’t ever question the great Tom Brady.”
