Success is a marker that defines most people in life but it does not come easily for many. Some are successful in life without a need for awards and medals. Some are successful because of what they have achieved in their career over the years. Antonio Brown is in the middle of that spectrum. Although he is successful in every right, he achieved it with a blend of awards and consistency. His latest admission, albeit out of frustration is a dramatic one, but one which might just be true.

Antonio Brown has played for some of the best teams in the NFL and was a really good WR in every right. But his exit from the sport has seen him being branded as a disappointment. The manner in which he left the sport, some call it disgraceful, especially with the breakup between Brown and the Bucs. With this, Brown turned to other endeavors and has since gone on to compare himself to the NBA legend, Michael Jordan.

Ever since announcing his retirement from the NFL, Brown turned to other opportunities to make the most of his post-NFL career. His initial idea was to switch to music. After falling short as a musician which left the fans uninspired, Brown took ownership of Albany Empire. This was a move that has seen him join the likes of Tom Brady and Michael Jordan. His stake in the NAL outfit has seen him take a seat in the executive room of the franchise.

The former Steelers‘ WR tweeted about the hate him and Jordan receive. The tweet quoted Barstool Sports and captioned, “Me n MJ get the same hate BLK Ownership 👀 archives”. This was a direct nod to how he and Jordan have received criticism despite earning success as a player but not being able to replicate in the owner’s quarters.

Following the tweet, Brown tweeted against the rage of his players. In the two-word tweet captioned, “Illegal Contact”, Brown hit out at players of Albany Empire. This comes after he was accused of cheating the players, in the name of contracts. Antonio Brown, like Michael Jordan have faced the wrath of many in their careers, be it fans or pundits. With their careers transitioning from that of a player to an owner, both have experienced different endeavours in their time. Some which did not work out, and others which are still in its infancy.

Antonio Brown transitioned to building a music career after leaving the NFL, but it never saw him earn a foothold in the industry. His concerts saw fans who were unexcited, and clips from his concerts would go on to draw jokes. After acquiring a stake in the NAL outfit, Albany Empire, he transitioned once again from the music industry to that of a boardroom. The Empires have lost six games on the bounce after winning their first game of the season. It does not reflect well on Brown, as Empires won the last two league title in the NAL.

Michael Jordan has seen himself move into the boardroom after taking up a minority stake at the Charlotte Hornets. This stake saw him take over the Basketball operations, and overseeing the Hornets. In his 13 years as owner of the Hornets, they failed to make a mark in the game. This failure saw Jordan relinquish his stake and move on from the Hornets. Before selling his stake, Jordan announced he will be fielding a NASCAR car with Denny Hamlin.

Jordan and Brown have seen success and failures in their career. Having won the ultimate prize as a player, they sought the same as an owner. Jordan had to quit his dream early, whether brown follows suit is yet to be seen.
