There is more in common between Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers than their solitary Super Bowl championship rings. For example, a deep love for basketball and NBA playoff action. Rodgers’ recent outing may not have proved the luckiest for his New York Knicks as they trail the Eastern Conference series 3-1 to Miami. However, Wilson’s impact was all positive on Tuesday night as his courtside appearance pushed the Denver Nuggets to victory.

Danger Russ wasn’t alone. The Denver Broncos quarterback was accompanied by his newly appointed Lombardi-winning head coach, Sean Payton. And the two seemed to be just the faces Nikola Jokic needed to spot on the sidelines in order to drop a historic triple-double on the night.

After a disappointing 2022-23 Broncos season, all of Denver’s hopes rest on the No. 1-seeded Nuggets. And Russell Wilson was in the house to make sure Jokic and Murray did what they had to and take the 3-2 lead over the formidable Phoenix Suns. The NFL world saw Aaron Rodgers and Sauce Gardner at the Madison Square Gardens courtside, days after the QB signed with the NY Jets. However, despite taking the first game in the series, Miami has reclaimed the odds in their favor. Danger Russ came with luckier charms for sure.

The Nuggets beat the Suns 118-102 with Jokic putting up a 29-13-12 triple-double. This comes after a historic 51 points in Game 4 this week from the 2x MVP. Wilson tagged the Serbian superstar on one of his stories before showing a glimpse of the halftime show at the Ball Arena in Denver.

Russell Wilson also tagged Kevin Durant with his Instagram handle ‘Easy Money Sniper’ on one of his stories. Durant had 26 points and 11 rebounds on the night for the Suns.

Former New Orleans Saints HC Sean Payton also brought along his wife Skylene Montgomery for the NBA playoff action. Wilson’s wife Ciara wasn’t present. However, the 9x Pro Bowler did leave a surprise for one of his employees.

Wilson reserved a special gesture for a special associate

With a $245 million contract, Russell Wilson is the 4th highest-paid QB in the NFL. And he puts the money to good use. The Broncos quarterback-and-head-coach duo weren’t the only common links present at the Ball Arena. Also present, albeit not courtside, was Amy Atmore. Atmore is a physical therapist who is the Director of Performance at Wilson’s West To East Empire and a former performance therapist in the NBA. Looks like Wilson got her some drool-worthy seats, and she thanked the passer in return. “Thank you, Russell Wilson,” she tagged a story with her gang rooting for the Nuggets.
