An incident occurred in 2012 when the Ohio star was playing for the Miami Heat and pitched his likes to bring the legendary quarterback Peyton Manning to the Dolphins.

Although he went to play with the Denver Broncos later on, his fans were in pursuit of bringing him to Miami. Surprisingly, James was not the only one who wanted him in Miami. Even Dwyane Wade pitched the idea to take Peyton Manning to South Beach.
“I’m just gonna put it out there…Peyton that number 18 would look gr8 in a dolphins uniform..steve ross let’s go.. marlins & heat style…All in,” Wade wrote on Twitter.
Similarly, LeBron James, who was also a Miami star, vowed to empower the city with great athletes. “I’m just sayin’,” LeBron said. “Dolphins need a quarterback, and Peyton’s available….” he pitched the idea. He said that being a player of the city, he intended to make Miami sports great.

Moreover, it was the time when the Dolphins acquired their new head coach in the form of Joe Philbin, and with the addition of Manning, would have been a great combination. But unfortunately, the Broncos went on to make a deal with him.
LeBron James explains why he left football at high school
The 37-year-old was a good football player during his high school days. However, destiny landed him a career on the basketball court. While speaking to the Manning brothers on Monday Night Football last year, the four-time NBA champion revealed the reason behind quitting the gridiron.

“If I would have had a better quarterback in high school, I might have continued to play football. But I took way too many hits and that led me to the basketball court.” James said on the show.

Peyton Manning was awed to hear these lines from James and started imagining how it would look like having LeBron James on the side and throwing passes to him. The 46-year-old mentioned that he would play James as the wideout and throw so many touchdowns to the NBA Star.
