Breaking records is something Tom Brady knows quite a bit about. This is why it is not a surprise that he acknowledged the record-breaking feat achieved by WNBA star Kelsey Plum. After becoming the 1st overall pick from the 2017 WNBA draft, Kelsey Plum has racked up a stack of accomplishments to her name. Her accomplishments so far have culminated in the latest championship in the 2022 WNBA season.

As Plum continues her pursuit of greatness after tying the knot with fellow Vegas star Darren Waller, 125 days ago. She does not seem to be interested in slowing down as the latest round of basketball news confirms that she is in a league of her own. One which brought up a dedicated reaction and fire emojis from the legendary NFL QB.

Tom Brady hypes up all-star MVP

This season in the WNBA, Kelsey Plum has been the dominant force many observe her as. And on July 10th, she sealed her status as one of the best in the league with a career-high 40 points to her name. In a game between Las Vegas Aces and Minnesota Lynx which ended 113-89 in favor of the Aces.

Plum managed to contribute over 25% of the total points tally for the Aces on her own. And Brady was quick to notice and posted a story on his IG handle. He added a picture posted by the Aces, a team in which he shares a stake as one of the owners, to his story. He would go on to caption the story with 40! and three fire emojis, as words could not do justice to the feat.

The Aces minority holder was stunned as she is the only WNBA star to have hauled a 40 point game 7 times in a single season, with the previous record set at 3. The former Patriots QB would be proud of Plum and will hope she continues to stack up her achievements. And her husband will hope the same as he cheers her on after a beautiful ceremony a couple of months ago.

Vegas marrying Vegas

Raiders TE and Aces guard tied the knot back in April 2023 after making their vows as husband and wife. Plum and Waller are dedicated athletes, and play in Las Vegas, albeit in different sports. Waller has been with the Las Vegas Raiders since 2020, while her wife has been with the Aces since 2018.

In terms of achievements and records accomplished, Plum dominates her sport far more than her partner. But Waller has been solid every time he takes to the field. As his 9 appearances in the 2022 NFL season brought about 3 Touchdowns and tallied 388 yards to his name.

Now that they’re together, Waller will hope to be influenced by his record-breaking wife. As they look to build a life together on the pitch and off of it.
