On Her Fourth Birthday Without Kobe Bryant, Kim Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Ciara Join Millions in Celebrating Vanessa Bryant

Kobe Bryant left his family and fans in early 2020 in a tragic helicopter crash. Three years later, the world is still coming to terms with losing the NBA legend. Venessa Bryant is celebrating her fourth birthday without the Mamba and her friends have come together to make her day special. Kim Kardashian, Chris Jenner and Ciara have come together to celebrate Venessa on her special but surely bittersweet day.

Kobe passed away along with his daughter Gianna in a tragic helicopter crash in January 2020. Since then, his wife Venessa has celebrated her birthday without the love of her life. This time, her friends have teamed up so she doesn’t feel alone. And they have found a way to celebrate her on the special occasion with some beautiful messages for her.

Ciara and others have special messages for Venessa Bryant 

Popstar Ciara, along with Kris Jenner and her daughter Kim Kardashian, sent some special messages for Venessa Bryant on her 41st birthday. Each of them took to Instagram to post a picture with Vanessa and leave their lovely words for her. The members of the friend group took turns send their public messages of love. 

“Happy Birthday V Booski, love you so much,” Ciara wrote in an Instagram post.

Kris Jenner took the stories route on Instagram to get her message across. “Happy birthday @vanessabryant!! I love you,” the socialite wrote on the photo. Her daughter Kim Kardashian shared back-to-back stories with a couple of photos of the duo and dropped her message there. “Happy Birthday @vanessabryant, love you!!” she wrote in one of the stories. Bryant was surely touched by the love she got from the ladies as she shared that with the fans. Millions of fans joined in in the heartwarming celebration too.

Kardashian and Bryant have been friend for a long time. Just at her last birthday, Kim shared some rare photos of her with Vanessa and Kobe. She was also in the video Vanessa made as a tribute to her daughter Giana. Living in the same city for decades, it is natural for the two to be a part of the same social circle. Ciara and her husband Russell Wilson shared a special bond with the Bryants and that has carried on even after Kobe’s tragic passing.

Wilsons’ bond with the Kobe Bryant family

Russell Wilson had a special bond with Kobe Bryant during his lifetime. The late Laker was Wilson’s “biggest inspiration”. They also played a celebrity softball game together. Last year on Kobe’s birthday, the Denver Broncos QB shared a heartfelt message for the NBA legend. 

“We miss you. Thankful for being not only a legend on the court but most importantly with your girls,” Wilson had written in an Instagram post.

Ever since his passing, the Wilsons’ have always been there for Kobe’s family. They have formed a rock-solid support for Vanessa and the kids. The couple sat right next to her at the Kobe memorial just a few weeks after the tragedy.  When the NBA launched platinum jerseys to celebrate the career of Kobe, Ciara couldn’t stop herself from buying a whole lot of them. Maybe she’s the one hosting Vanessa’s birthday party. Wasn’t she making a hot sauce cocktail recently?

It’s just great to see Vanessa surrounded by friends on her special day without her special person. With friends like Ciara and Kim, maybe the absence of Kobe will hurt a little less. With Ciara’s cocktail, everything is possible.
