Denver Nuggets went on to make history! For the first time in the franchise’s history, they lifted their first Larry O’Brien trophy. With hard efforts from overcoming last year’s champions and LeBron James, Jamal Murray, Nikola Jokic, and their team have finally done it. After they won, the whole of Denver was on its feet, including Denver Broncos QB, Russell Wilson. The Wilson family was also in attendance for Game 5 of the series. Interestingly, while Wilson was trying to greet Murray when there was a slight faux pas.
After the Nuggets won, the whole arena wanted a glimpse of their champions and Wilson was no exception. Having the privilege of sitting courtside, he was sure to get a glimpse of the champion. However, Wilson missed the chance to see the new World Champions and it wasn’t even his fault.
An ignored Russell Wilson at the precipice of Denver’s greatness

After they conquered the Heat, the Denver arena erupted into mayhem. Fans and celebrities alike were all eager to get a glimpse of their champions. At the center of this ruckus was the Nuggets’ star, Jamal Murray. As he was exiting the arena, he was greeted by those who sit courtside. Among them was Wilson and his wife.

Even though Wilson came forward to greet the guard, Murry ended up ignoring him. He walked past the QB without actually noticing him.
While the situation would’ve been slightly embarrassing for the QB, he did not seem to care. He was very carefree with his celebration. In fact, he took to Instagram to showcase his love for the team.

A happy Wilson family
The whole Wilson clan was present to witness Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic make history for their city. Wilson took to Instagram to put up a barrage of stories celebrating the Nuggets’ victory. He even put up multiple stories of his children meeting several of the champions like KCP and Aaron Gordon. The highlight of his Instagram story included a beautiful video of confetti falling from the ceiling with the words, “Never forget watching this special moment for the Nuggets.” All in all, even the QB had fan-like behavior during the celebrations.
All in all, this is a huge win for the city of Denver. Now, as the regular season inches closer, the pressure is on Wilson. However, only time will tell if Wilson will be able to bring another source of pride to the city of Denver.
