Everyone is aware of the fact that Skip Bayless is a hardcore Tom Brady fan. The writer-turned-analyst never leaves room for any other player to be at par with the NFL legend when it comes to an online debate as to who is the best in the game.

Recently, Bayless made a similar mark on NBA superstar LeBron James by comparing him with Tom Brady.

Just like Brady, Bayless is a great Michael Jordan fanatic too. So anyone close to reaching similar stardom doesn’t seem to go well with him. Bayless, who runs his podcast other than UNDISPUTED, spoke about this matter by referring to various statistics.

In the podcast, he often takes questions from the fans and tries to answer them in his fashion. In one of his recent episodes, a viewer asked, “Lebron has been defeating Father Time just like Tom Brady?” Without a second thought, Bayless responded with a big “NO.”

“I admire his fitness dedication. I admire his commitment, nutrition, and warrior workouts. Yet, remember LeBron is seven years and five months younger than Thomas Edward Patrick Rainey Jr. and I do realize it’s virtually impossible from here to play NBA basketball playing quarterback in the NFL. But LeBron’s all-time greatest year 19 was statistically deeply flawed.” he said on the show.

LeBron James averaged 30 points with 8 rebounds and 6 assists, an impressive figure for a player who is playing in his 19th NBA season. Although he presented an array of statistics supporting the points, he reiterated that his team miserably failed.

However, in the case of Brady, he claimed that the 44-year-old was beating his Father’s time, and James was nowhere close to his caliber.

While the 70-year-old columnist was busy heaping praises for Brady, he pointed out that the Buccaneers quarterback also had a rough season despite winning games and fell short of a few points that cost him the NFC championship game.

“Last season, Tom Brady tied his career-high with five game-winning drives. Only a blitz bust in a broken coverage cost Brady’s team that playoff game against the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams,” he said on the show.

In the end, Bayless resorted to ending all the confusion by saying James might be a warrior beating his age, but he’s still one level down to Brady, who will turn 45 soon. Well, it will be interesting to see how much the Buccaneers’ signal-caller lives up to the expectations.
