Week 15 match-up between the Washington Commanders and the New York Giants wrapped up on a controversial note at FedEx Field. The Giants’ 20-12 triumph attracted lots of media attention, and celebrities like Kevin Durant called out the referees for not giving a PI call that seemingly looked like one. For his outburst, Giants’ rookie linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux gave a befitting reply.

Although the NBA superstar Kevin Durant plays for the Brooklyn Nets, he hasn’t been much loyal towards New York compared to his love for DC and vocalizing support for the Commanders. Just like anybody else, the veteran was watching the live broadcast of Week 15. And that’s when the entire drama unraveled.

However, no penalties were called, and the game ended in Giants’ favor. This incident supposedly irked Durant, who decided to take shots on social media. He shared a photoshopped image of Curtis Samuel-Holmes’s moment from the game and wished everyone happy holidays.

This post took no time to spread like a wildfire and caught the attention of rookie linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux. He decided to call out the veteran and wrote, “Come play Tight End”. Indeed, a win is a win, and Thibodeaux couldn’t tolerate anybody else pointing at the team.

The youngster had been phenomenal throughout the season. In this game, he recorded 12 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, and an electric touchdown. Hence this game meant a lot to him, especially after playing a prominent role in the victory.

Durant has been an avid supporter of Commanders throughout this journey. In the future, if the sale goes public, the NBA star might be in the mood to acquire a piece of the franchise. “I would love to do it. I would love to give a little bit of my money to be a part of the Commanders, but we’ll see,” he said, per The New York Post. It will be interesting to see how things turn out for the Commanders in the foreseeable future.
