3x Super Bowl winner and Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe’s love for LeBron James is well known among NFL and NBA fans. But what he is also kn0wn for, is calling out players for their bad performances, even James. And fans got to witness that side of him as the Los Angeles Lakers lost their season opening game to the defending champions, Golden State Warriors. Sharpe took to Twitter to express his dismay at the way the Lakers played, resulting in the loss.

The HOF-er was vocal about how he felt about the Lakers, which drew no love from fans. And not so surprisingly, there is one directed at LeBron James too! Maybe the soft spot in his heart wasn’t powerful enough to stop this one. The First one talks about how the Lakers kept on missing their shots.

Sharpe did not hold back his swings, either.

He also has something to say about fresh signing Patrick Beverley, who only managed to score 3 points, with 2 assists and 2 rebounds in 25 minutes.

LeBron James‘ ill luck with the 3-pointer also wasn’t unnoticed today, as per Sharpe’s words on Twitter.

Overall, it seems Sharpe is of the opinion of the Lakers’ opening game points to glaring problems with the team.

It looks like Shannon had a field day with NBA fans.

LeBron James and Lakers suffer close defeat to Steph Curry’s Warriors

Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors started their title defense with a win over one of their biggest rivals. The Warriors’ attack and defense simply outmatched LA. Especially in the third quarter, which even LeBron James admits is an oversight on the Lakers’ part. “That third quarter is where they always excelled when they made this transition to being a powerhouse team,” James said. “You’ve always got to be ready for the third quarters, and we were not tonight.”

James and Anthony Davis were inefficient while scoring points through their usual methods. James scored 31, while Davis managed to add another 27 points. But the 3rd quarter run from the Warriors all but sealed the game in their favor. As the Lakers set to face city rivals Los Angeles Clippers next week, fans will be hoping that they pull their act together and come up back with an emphatic win. Sharpe will certainly be hoping for that.
