Jalen Hurts might be the hottest player in the NFL right now. Although he is certainly handsome, we aren’t talking about his looks. Hurts has been making some serious business moves on and off the field. After leading the Eagles to the Super Bowl in a breakout year last season, Hurts solidified his place in the NFL’s elite after signing a $255 Million contract extension with the Eagles. And, that is not all as Hurts was recently seen in an ad campaign.

Hurts’ value as a player and his star power shot up tenfold over the course of the last season. Now, after his days of glory in college, winning the Heisman Award, Hurts is back to the top of media recognition, landing a deal from the GOAT’s sneaker brand itself.

While Jalen Hurts might have expressed his dominance on the football field, the QB has landed himself in the midst of one of basketball’s biggest legend’s legacy campaigns. Starring alongside ex-NBA player Imam Shumpert’s wife, Teyana Taylor, Hurts debuted Taylor’s brand new signature sneaker with the classic Air Jordan 1 silhouette in their new commercial together.

The Air Jordan 1 has been amongst the most classic silhouettes in the entire sneaker industry, and for Hurts to be seen repping the company as perhaps their new ambassador for football is a massive achievement for his career. With his increasing fame, it’s easy to see the multi-billion dollar company choose the up-and-rising QB as their answer to Adidas’ glowing success with their star ambassador.

Could Hurts be in line for his own signature shoe?

While Nike and the Jordan line have many star athletes exclusively repping their own signature shoes for the company, the football world has not seen many stars land their own shoes. Both Nike and Jordan have handed out many signature models to star NBA players, but with Hurts’ growing success, he could be the first athlete in years to receive his own signature sneaker.

It would certainly be extremely significant for Hurts’ career. But with the growing popularity of Adidas’ partnership with Patrick Mahomes in the football world, it’s not wild to imagine Nike and Jordan choosing Hurts to fight their battle with his very own signature shoe. Whether the QB’s dreams of a signature sneaker actually come true, however, is still up for speculation.
